Hey guys i am beginning to consider the bushmaster 200 as a gun i might want to buy. I just was curious as to why it only got an 8,5 on the review section at this site. Is it unreliable? If i were to use it with nitro would it be consistant with stock regs? Basically what are its problems stock, and how hard are they to fix?

Thanks

I owned 2 Bushmasters for a very long time. There were 4 others on my team with them. The only reason we sold them was because we got Excaliburs. We had very little trouble with them. One of mine was serial number 670 to give you an idea how old it was. It's not like a Spyder/Piranha/Tippmann in that you can go play with it and just throw it in a gear bag and forget about it at the end of the day. They do require some preventive maintenance but not tons. Once you learn how everything assembles it's very easy to repair.
The one's who have had to be brought back into the shop (I co-manage a paintball store) have been 95% user errors. Do not run liquid oil through the marker. It can and will gum up the solenoid as well as slug the regs.

About it being rated 8.5, this is my theory: Some of the guns that get very high ratings are probly rated by newbies who are so happy w/their new gun that thry just give it a 10. Some of the more expensive high-end guns may be more realistically rated by experienced players giving them a slightly lower rating. That's just my theory though.

I would say that the bushmaster is a very good gun but the stock barrel is awful you would have to get a new one and i am not sure how good the regulater is

I live (or try to) by these 6 words. Dont lesson to other peoples reviews.

Like the Mag/Cocker debate. Some people say the Mag sucks and some say the Cocker sucks but in the end it is what you like the best.

Go try a gun out before you by it.
