I am looking for a new gun, and I want to keep it mechanical. I have narrowed my selection down to any of the Mech cockers, or the Sentinel TS Pro. I have a few questions about the Sentinel.

1) How fast is the ROF? I was thinking 9-10bps.

2) How consistant is it?

3) How good is the stock barrel?

4) What would be a good hopper for it? I currently have an Empire Reloader

they're probably one on the fastest mechanical blowbacks around, but no match for a 'cocker. it'll out shoot 9V revie so i recomend an LED recohet 2K or 12v revie. i'f you're going mechanical i'd recomend a cocker or cocker clone. the oddyssey 03 mechanical looks real good for the money.

the sentinal barrels are large bore, probably a .688-.689 range. it's good barrel but a bit too big of a bore fore me. they have a fast recharge rate on the valve but the gun a whole isn't too consistant. a reg will fix that. i've also heard of guys getting these things to cycle below 300 psi out of the box, but i'm not sure if that is true.

the market is good for autocockers and 'cocker clones. you could always blade one if you ever decide to ge electro.

I am quite aware of all of the cockers and cocker clones out there, but I dont like the feel of cockers. My friend has a WGP 04 Prostock, and I dont like the whole mechanics of it. No doubt that it is a good gun, he loves it, but I like to differentiate from the usual (note the Phantom) and not many people have a Sentinel. As for the reg, the Sentinel TS Pro comes with a Centerflag secondary reg.

The evil omen, 320 here, I have heard good things but i havent been able to shoot one personally, but assuming that it is evil I would imagine that it is of good quality. If you do decide to go with the sentinel ask around here fr an affiliation code, I have one to share and many other people have offered to share theirs.

yes sentinals are good for the class (low end mechanical) but they pale in comparison to a high end mechanical like a 'cocker or automag. if you don't like the autococker feel then i recommend an automag myself. if the autococker feels too large for you then the mag should be real nice. retro valved mags have an impressive ROF, but even a single trigger mag is leaps and bounds better than a sentinal TS pro.

i highly recomend an automag over a sentinal. a used mag on ebay should have no problems fitting into your budget: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=16048&item=7149322012&rd=1
