I can either get a bushmaster OR an autococker with a nitro tank. If I got the bushy, I would have to save up for the air tank. Whadya think?

Also, do you find yourself shooting more paint with an electro, compared to a cocker?

How hard is the upkeep on a bushmaster compared to a cocker?

You'll shoot more paint of course, but you can also turn down the ROF so you'll save some paint.

It is so much easier to upkeep a bushy.

If you think that you will need to shoot faster w/ than a cocker, then get a bushy, and just save up and get a cheap crossfire/pmi nitro tank screw in. Screw in's work great on bushmasters.

I have very little problems with shootdown, and i'm using the Pure Energy 68 cu 3000 psi. I'm probably going to get a Gladiator reg soon though.

just a tip, BUSHY's only run on nitro...

save up for the bushy with nitro you'll be real happy, but they're limited on mods (mods coming out quickly now though)

Save for the VF cocker and mod it you'll be happy too ( i own a cocker and a bushy) but the cockers are tricky to learn to time, once you get it down it's all cake work... but a bushy can be hard to setup too...

I'm starting to think I want a Bushy... of course, now I CAN afford to feed it. AND, I am now getting an air tank before I get a high end gun, so the only difference in getting them is about a week. I could get the cocker a week earlier then the bushy... so no big deal. I have shot a bushy and a cocker, and liked them both. I just got to shoot an AMG the other day, and man, it was sweet. But that means the Bushy is so much sweeter! I dunno, I lean toward one, then I lean toward another. I REALLY don't want to have to do a lot of up keep. Lube it and be done. Although I do like the upgrade path on the cocker. Have you bushy owners found yourselfs without anything to do upgrade wise? And those (like Crisis) who have both, could you kind of give me a run down on your likes and dislikes of the guns compared to each other? I mean, everything from weight to upgrades to how much fun is it to shoot? I'd appreciate it. Anyway, I guess I'll stop talking and wait for replies now... :)

The bushmaster has alot of upgrades available- high rises, frames, triggers, chips, LCDs, ACEs, LPRs, ASAs, bolts. THeres not much more you can want. The bushmaster is not ascomplicated as an autococker so theres not a bunch of crap you can upgrade. I guess if you could see all the components like an autococker more people would upgrade them . The bushmaster has all the pneumatic parts, the only thing a bushmaster doesnt have that a cocker has is the rods, arms, trigger stuff and back block- all the stuff that make the autococker fickle. most of this stuff doesnt really need to be upgraded which goes for the cocker too but lets not get into that.
You can run co2 on your bushmaster if you need to, just get a 2nd inline reg like a stablizer or a maxflo.
The only one who can tell you what gun to choose is you. The cocker and those that function similar have a different feel than electros. Either you prefer one or the other.

Shoot the bushy first, just so you like it. Some people just don't like them. Shoot it with a sonic or ripper frame, you'll be darn well forced to like it. I played saturday with all my new macdev goodies (frame, reg) and i was shooting people like a trained monkey. It was great. I'm thinking about buying a cocker used so i have a little fool around gun. Get what makes you happy, and go give em hell.

I think this -
Silver Bushmaster 2002 (no lcd)
PE 68/3000 Fiber Wrapped (my field doesn't fill to 4500)
Revolution w/ Xboard
Black or Clear Dye Stickies

Aren't the 2002 Bushies about to start coming with a two piece barrel and blade trigger? Do you know what kind of barrel it;s coming with?

I would go with bushy. You will use more paint and everything, but ya just gotta love the feel of those electronic triggers.:D
