Making a sniper barrel for a Talon out of PVC piping??

hey, i have read in some peoples forumns that they have made a custom sinper barrel for their talons using pvc pipe? if anyone knows how to do this, or has a pic of a gun with a custom made barrel for a talon, tell me how, or show me the pic.

I pity you, you poor man. This is going to get very ugly.

Simply put, PVC doesn't make good barrels, it is horrible for that purpose, and many people will tell you sniping is impossible in paintball, although this depends on your definition of sniping.

If you want a good barrel then get a J&J ceramic or CP 1 piece barrel, they're pretty cheap and very good for the money.

your stupid....you didnt even come close to answering my question! you cant fit an after market barrel on a Brass Eagle Talon Ghost!!!! idiot....i bought a talon for fun for 10 bucks from a friend..and if you search the forumns in here someone is talking about making a barrel outa pvc....its for a talon!! it doesnt have to be perfect! if i wanted perfect i would talk about my tippmann... but i just want to make this talon a little better so me and one of my friends can have a little screw around game in the woods out here

Chill dude! HE TRIED TO HELP YOU! You people are ungrateful for what little help people try to give you. Sure, he was wrong about the aftermarket barrel but you could've at least nicely corrected him. My friend made a barrel out of PVC pipe. I'll put this in as simple terms as possible. I forget how to make it so it fits on but you get some pipe with a big enough hole to fit a paintball thru with out it really grinding against the side but not so big it rolls out the front. Then use a drill and drill sum holes where ever you think it'll do the most good. It's really simple. You'll have to find a way to put it in I forget how he did it. Next time someone gives you wrong info, thank them for trying and then correct them. Don't straight out go calling them stupid. It makes the forum lose members and lose future members. It also gives you a bad rep. as a guy who will yell at you if you try to help him.

But you could possibly make a normal barrel fit, I've heard that if you heat the threaded end of the barrel enough you can fit it into the front end of the talon and it will melt and reshape the plastic. Naturally you would have to be very careful to make sure the barrel goes in straight, but it can be done.

Just some tips, first, if your going to do this then use boiling water to heat the barrel end, second, dip the heated end in oil so it won't get stuck in the talon.

I won't even try to explain to you how PVC barrels would be made, I haven't even heard of one that works...

Get some PVC pipe and a connector. If the connector's too tight, heat it before attaching. If it's too loose, try adding a layer of soft tape to end of the the barrel or pipe and then heat the connector and attach.

I've never done this before, by the way, so if it doesn't work, the failure is all yours.

lol i no...try lookin into a site tahts purely mods for ur gun...such as ottersc's(he doesnt have BE mods though). this probably will not turn out right, due to lack of consistent bores in the pvc. if u find a way leave a link here.

Ok im actually goin to answer this ridiculous question. Since i make hommade airguns out of pvc, i have some experiance. First off the kind of pvc you need would be 1/2 inch schedule 80. This stuff is hard to come by so you will probably have to order it. To improve accuracy somewhat on the barrel drill some holes in it to act as porting. This barely helps, but it makes the barrel and user not quite as noobish.The attaching part is the hardest. You will have to sand down the end of the pvc to get it to fit into the gun. I wouldnt even bother with it though, because it will probably make it less accurate.

this is what i did ok if you have a friend that has a blade (paintball gun) its probly broke so you get the pump grip off of it.(you know the thing you hold on to to pump the marker) well any ways than you you put duck tape on the barrel of your talon until you can put the blades pump on it and it fits snugly(cut the thin black piece off of the pump arm) than get like your spyder shocker timbuck 2 whatever barrel and put it on the other side.
