Chest shots

I have been playing for about 2 years now (about 2 times a month) and every game I would get shot in the chest in the same area every game no matter what. To make things worse, some kid who shouldn't be around paintball stuff much picked up my friend's pirhana by the trigger assuming that it was on safety (which by the way wasn't) and shot me right in the sore spot of my chest. (The barrel could touch me...IT WAS THAT CLOSE!) It knocked the wind out of me and I think I passed out for a few minutes...I woke up and everyone is staring at me...I still have a scar there from where the paintball nailed me. I had the nastiest welt I have ever seen.

BTW: I'm too cheap to buy a chest protector, which I think I should

Are you braggin or complaining? ;) If you're getting hit in the same spot every time, I'd have to say you gotta change your style of play or get yourself that protector! :eek: Welts on welts is never a pretty picture!

I think I am doing a little of both. But I complained when I was talking about the kid shooting me really close.

Too cheap to buy a chest protector huh? If you get hit in the same spot everytime...then I hope you like pain and welts. Maybe you can make yourself a big pillow suit out of all the pillows in your house to protect yourself:rolleyes:

if you get hit in one place a lot, pay attention to how you play- if you alter your play to keep that under cover better, you'll make it harder for your opponents to shoot you out.

Where a puffy vest! My friend did that one time. He got shot, it bounced off, and he used it! It was pretty cool...
