Will the Crossfire tanks and the regs on the tanks be able to keep up with the impulse and not have drop off? Does anyone use this tank on your impulse and how are the results? I am talking about thr 68ci 4500psi.

i have the tank your talking about....it had a low pressure output...works fine with my impy but you do need a drop because the standard drop forward wont let the tank fit.

does it matter if you get the 450psi output or the 800psi output? The max-flow will regulate either one down right? Whikc would u get? NEED HELP DECIDING ON A GOOD TANK.

i have the 450 PSI tank i bought it because it had a lower pressure output. so i bought it just to be safe. i like the crossfire tank the older ones kinda sucked but the newer ones are cool. go with a crossfire or PMI (PMI i would say is a little more realiable than crossfire)

what do u mean by more reliable?

meaning none of the disks inside will burst on you and stuff like that....another thing is i could play with a PMI tank without a dust cap without it getting messed up but with a crossfire it will screw up faster than the PMI one

then i might go with the PMI tank. I want a reliable tank and performs good.
If you want a GOOD tnak, go a few more dollars for the Center Flag 68/4500. This is simply the best preset you can get. (about $200)
I would strongly suggest you stay away from the cross fire. We used to sell them-- had 2 suddenly dump 4500psi directly into the guns (the low pressure line burst saving the gun- but screwing the gauge.) In addition we had nothing but problems dealing with the company on repairs.
The pure engey is not a bad tank- but the Center Flage is much better for not a lot more $$

I listened to FOM on this advice and got Center Flag with HyperFlow reg, 68ci/4500psi. I shoot as fast as I can with out any drop off in the air supply. And it's only 20 bucks more than Crossfire or PMI tanks.

FOM sells CenterFlag tanks for $220 I think, not sure check his site. About dfs, I am not sure, from other posts it seems like FOM sells KAPP drop forwards.
Good choice on the tank though, you will like it.... not because you can actually tell and pin point the difference, but because you never should think about "tank problems" such as air drop off, blown seals and leaking air ;)

Crossfire tanks are one of the fastest recharging tanks on the market and are great tanks for the price. A Center Flag tank may be a better tank to get if you don't mind spending about 20 or 30 more dollars.
