Teflon Tape

I am going to buy some teflon tape for my rebel's macroline kit and I'm wondering where I put it. I don't know if I put the tape on the threads and then screw it in or I screw it in and then put the tape on. Please help.

Put the tape on the threads, but if you have a kit you might not need to. If there's already some stuff on the threads, then just screw the fittings in tight.

If I cut the hose just a little too short and it curves a little out of the fitting, will that cause it to leak a little? But the hose is attached.

yea.. i'm gonna say it will leak. if it does try putting duct tape or electric tape to make it wider... if you get hurt not my fault:|
