Right now I have a tippy 98 c w/ an x chamber, toxic performance double trig, and a CP Classic. My brother is just starting to get into paintball and is lookin to buy a gun. Because my friends and I were considering moving from woods to speed, should I take advantage of this and sell my brother my gun and 2 co2 tanks for cheap? Also, should I stick with an electronic blowback or move up from there? Thanks!

Tippmanns are great beginner guns. Go ahead and sell it to your brother. Then save up and buy a Ion.

also, I was looking into trilogy autocockers. Do they have as light a trigger pull as an electro? How fast can I shoot with one?

They won't shoot nearly as fast as a Ion. They don't have a electro-type trigger because it's not a electro. You might be able to get one up to about 6-8bps. I still say stick with a Ion.

You can pick up a B2K4 pretty cheap at www.countypaintball.com right now. Don't waste your money on a cocker. I would avoid SP as well, I have had bad experiences with their quality in the past.

If your looking to stay with a Mech, I would reccomend a ULE Mag.

Here's how I see things: I own a cocker. I play speedball with my cocker. Only buy a cocker if A) you're not buying a trilogy - buy something used or a new prostock. and B) looking to upgrade it to electro. Otherwise, you're going to pour tons of ups into a marker that's not going to shoot faster than 6-8 BPS. And for speedball, you're going to want more than that. I love my cocker, don't get me wrong, but playing back I just need some more speed. You would probally be alright playing front I imagine.

Yep, mechs are great. Just get what feels right in your hands and then go mow some muppets.
