Not really, unless you want to jump on the bandwagon- the excels are the same ID,and cheaper- the aluminum is even lighter.

Nay, there are many barrels just as good if not better than boomies such as the JJ ceramic, lapco bigshot, cp, AA, Teardrop and various others. If you were going to go with a Dye I would say only the Stainless Steel would be worth the price

Try one out! I have a Smart Parts All American barrel, which cost almost as much as a Boomstick, and I definitly think it is worth the money. See if you can shoot one; I never bought one simply because I had an AA and a J&J 2 piece (and that is a great barrel). I would assume that the boomstick is the #1 selling barrel for a reason....

Here's a barrel that is alot like the boomstick but has a lighter price tag... JT 2-piece. Check it out.

now a days paint is changing in size and there are so many brands, so you should invest into a multy switch system..
freak cp equation etc..
id say get the equation 200$ for everything, you will have a tournament level gun and have all the inserts you will need, or the bizerk system 140$, I love mine and it shoots great
