Is a Tippman Really Good, Good enough for tourneys, okay, poor, or a waste of money?
I got a Tippman 98 Custom with 20 Oz Co2 and VL200. Thank you-

If i were you i wouldn't enter a tourny because you still think its the gun that cant compete

At a tourny my cocker went down for a game(lost the cocking knob) and someone else was using my backup (at the time a spyder SE). I used one of the field rentals (Tippman Prolite) and I still got two people that game. Any gun will work, just some work better than others.

the skill of the person pulling the trigger is 80% of the game, id say a good or bad mask is 15%(cause you cant do jack if you cant see) and 5% the gun itself

you can get four things to make a tippy tourney ready
1. RT kit
2. 12v revvy
3. a very good barrel like the freak
4. a decent nitrogen tank

save the money from those three things and just take a step up like an impulse or cocker.

you don't have to have nitrogen for a tourney, especially your first tourney.Make sure you like them before you make the
switch. If I were you I would stick with Co2

He's going to want nitrogen before he steps up to a cocker, imp, bushy, etc. It's better to just buy it before, then you have a much greater range you can step up too.
