I just got my new issue of pb2x and this new gun with e grip from jt looks way too sweet. And priced under 300. I have a deep dislike of electros but this gun is tempting. What do you think? When; if anyone gets one how do you like it?

I know nothing of the sort; however your deep hate for electros needs to stop, you should be loving them, they're the greatest, they never did anything to you, people work round the clock to bulid these mini-gods. Please learn to love not hate, try one adopt one and learn about them. Perhaps, buying a $350.00 Kingman EM1 at 888paintball.com or painballonline mabey paintballgear even check acepaintball.com. I hope you listened. thank you.:D

...okay...
I've seen it, it looks pretty nice! But if I were to get an electro, I think I'd get a TRUE electro, not a blowback with an electro grip frame. IMO

;) You now see the truth, electros are god esp. the true electros as you mentioned, very well sir:crazy: try out an EM1 mabey a Impulse, I'm not big on bushys but their good, if you can pic kup a Tribal 2.2 and check out Airsoldierpaintball.com and Fearfactorypb.com , there you can deck it out over a period of time and turn your simple electro that everyone hates into a beatmaster, much like I did, I got it all, so if you have some Q's feel free to chat or somethin:sleep: ;) :D

just to tell you guys, imight want to stay away from the JT guns. Brass Eagle bought JT, and I've heard that they are the people who manufacture the JT guns. and i dont have to explain BE's reputation. ive shot the 4.0 and it feels like a BE.
I would also stay away from any blow back with and e-grip. maybe get one if you didnt have much money. but i would rather save up and buy an impulse or bushy if i didn't have much money.

oh yea, dont ever buy a paintball gun just because it looks kool. that is what companies like Brass Eagle do. they make guns look cool so new or un experienced played buy them. and i have a feeling that this is what JT is doing.

how can you say JT is bad because BE bought them!?!? Thats total bull, JT is still its own company, remember that. Until the day they change their name to BE you have no worries.
You say youve shot a JT 4.0 and it feels like a BE eh? Well thats a pretty smart comment.... JT 4.0 is about a year old gun, and BE bought them recently. Is there some underground connection between the two before that? I got my 4.0 and it proved to shoot faster, smoother, and quieter than any other gun on my field (other guns included Tippmann 98c, Pro/Carbine, Spyder TL Plus).
The only way I think you could say this is bad is if your comparing it to guns in the $600+ category.
Have you ever shot JT's paint?
Ever used JT's barrels?
Theres no way u can say their like BE.

I agree snake. JT is a great company with awesome products. After all, there's almost 15 pages of reviews of the JT Excellerator on the main page of this very site! And it still holds a 9.5 rating. That's not easy to do!
Second of all, BE may be a crap company, but do you use any viewloader products? Do they feel like BE? NO! But BE bought VL too! JT is a great company, and will continue to be, as well as VL.
Cheers!

JT is still an awesome company, making great products in THEIR factory (well, most of them excluding paint). BUT, VL has gone under. BE went through and started makin guns and crap under that name, hopin ppl wouldn't realize it's BE and, their loaders suck now too.VL may have gone under, but JT is still standing strong.
You can also tell that BE does not make JT markers cause' all the BE blowbacks have that same trigger, that is totally plastic and has holes in it. If they where BE, they would probably have that same trigger.

Point taken, but the JT Excellerator is definitely not a cheaply made gun, it is made totally out of metal... VERY NICE. A little heavy, but definitely hard to break :)

Personally, I tend to agree with Babe.
I have not found any serious use for electro guns, besides being able to paint an emtire bunker within about 30 seconds, and, blowing through several cases of balls, in the process.
The 4.0 has been working fine for me, once I upgraded the factory spring, which wouldn't push above about 200 f/s. I picked up a cheap 114, but, haven't installed it yet, though, I know several people who actively use this combo, and, love the results.
The stock barrel is excellent, as long as you use decent balls...PMI seem to work well, with extremely minimal breakage, and, the accuracy is nothing to cough at.
I've been in the game for almost 15 yrs now, and, have used everything from the old pumps, to completely tricked out mags and cockers. Thinking back on my old Stingray semi <with a custom made barrel that I hand rifled, no less> there is NO comparison. The 4.0 is a little on the weighty side, and, not easy to field strip - but, in it's price range, it simply blows away the competition.
All in all, I have to say I think upgrading the trigger, running nitro, and using decent balls bring this gun into the serious competition category, without running into all of the potential problems, and costs, of going electric.
Then again, I am a die hard woods player.

well Kreno, i used to have a VL Genesis. And YES, it feels like a BE because its the exact same gun as the BE Avenger, but with some upgrades. And Snake, i didnt say that JT was a crapy company because BE bought them, i said that JT might become a crappy company because BE is gonna eventually screw them up, like they are doing to VL.
