Best place I have found for used ones is the classifieds section at warpig.com
I picked one up for $50 and its great. Balance is terrific, and holds 32oz easy. Anti-siphon works good too because of the height above the valve .
I saw another on there for $50 last week I think.

I've heard that you can get them brand new from Smart Parts, themselves for like $150.

32 oz? Really? I thought it was only 24.

Oh yeah, I found a way to fill my with nitro. (I haven't done it yet, but it's possible). My steel hose quick disconnect elbow that connects to my bottomline duckbill, is the same fill nipple that nitro tanks use. In theory, I could hook a nitro fill station to it, and fill it through the duckbill.

I would do that but aren't they
built a little differently

It's the same tank, built to the same pressure settings. The only difference is nitro tanks come with regulators on them. When you think about it, a maxflow nitro system only has one regulator so I don't think that makes much of a difference.

As long as you keep the pressure under 3000, I think it'd be fine. (This is all theoretical)

Oh. I forgot, you can get a liscensed air smith to make you a tank. All it is is a nitro tank with a on/off instead of a regulator. I know my local shop has some old nitro tanks that the regulators have broken. I've been told you can just get them to put a on/off on it, hydro to make sure it's safe, and there ya go. Cost ya bout $100 ($30 for the on/off, $30 for the hydro and say about $40 for the dead tank).

According to my Master Convertor program 68cubic inches is equal to 37.67 ounces. I'll have to check that next time I fill.

The tank bodies are exactly the same. I have a bud that has a 68 co2 tank with a regulator head that he can swap to use co2 or HPA.

A 88cu co2 tank would be nice. Would weigh a little more than a 68, but plenty of expansion room if you just filled it to 35oz or so.

88cuin = 48.76 ounces

My 68 fiber tank weighs less than my 24oz aluminum.

The 68cu CO2 tank is cool but for the price you could convert to HPA. I read somewhere that there are some concerns about using CO2 in HPA tanks as they are not specifically designed for this gas. If CO2 is used in an HPA tank, the tank will cool and shrink the aluminum slightly away from the fiberglass cover thereby weakening it. Apparently the SP CO2 tanks are made differently to avoid this problem.
I've got a couple of SP 68ci CO2 tanks I use when I have trouble getting HPA fills. They work well and look a bit more professional than the steel tanks, IMHO. Just my 0.02
