Yes there are a lot of paintball magazines. I buy mine at my local Borders Bookstore.

yes there are a very few paintball magazines, but they do exist, and are quite the good read.

i know of three (i think all of them)...

"paintball"
"action pursuit games"
and "paintball 2xtremes"

my favorite of them all is APG, it is informative, has great articles, lots of tourney coverage, thick editions, but is sort of a catalogue :P (too many damn ads!)

paintball magazine is good too, it does not have as much articles, and is not as well covered, but what it does have is fun. it also has a complete marker guide, but it isn't very good. it is missing many guns, i dont think it even has the timmy in it!

paintball 2xtremes also has lots of tourney coverage, lots of great pics, but is a slimmer mag... it has good articles too... one of the ones on the current edition is very good... how to drill and tap things, something all pball users should know to do!

maybe they are common in the states, but in toronto you have to go to chapters, or indigo to get them!

Two others are:

Paintball (Games, Sports?) International

Facefull

I like APG becuse of it's larger volume, but it is more centered on the newbie. It's reviews are almost always, "this is a good product." No offense. I read it all the time, but if your looking for more info on the tourny scenes, go with pb2x or pb international. I haven't read a Facefull, so I can't comment on it.

I like to pick up a copy and flip through both APG and pb International because their adds are usually different. Like, in pb int. I saw the new Excellerator 6.0, but in APG I saw the Em1 Modify, just... for... your information :D

Hope that helped! :)

If you are just trying out, need to learn the ropes, whatever, APG is good. But, after you rent twice, and see more than a few guns, you'll out grow APG. It's nothing but ads, and indepth paid off ads, which apg kindly labels reviews. If you want game coverage that tells you about the fields, events, rivalries, complete details of the tournoment, and game info that isn't 7 months behing, i recoumend Paintball 2xtremes, or better yet Paintball sports international. PB2X has a better mix of tourney and rec, and gives you better tips. If you're only out for tourney info, look no further than Paintball sports international. I like one for my game, the other for my current events. So get away from apg, and come and read the good stuff. Cross fire's ok, and it's more of a allaround teen paintballer mag, and it's cool, but if you want paintball, the others are better

If you're looking for rec ball or newbie stuff, get an APG.

If you're looking for toruney coverage, get a PGI.

I went into an Indigo and this guy who worked there followed me into the bathroom and I went into a stall to piss cause the urinals were full(guess some guys get dragged in with the mrs) and he went into the one next to me and wasn't doing anything so I pissed on the floor and it got on his shoe.
