I have a rebel and I am wondering if I can take that top knob off without it leaking or losing any extra air during firing. I am just curious and too afraid to find out myself....

What knob? I would say leave it on , unless you can give more details to me about the part..

He is talking about the cocking knob, on rebels they are located on top of the marker.

I'll try to explain it better.
On the back of the marker, there is a pin that you can take out to dis-assemble your marker. There are two "chambers" in the marker. One holds the valve and the hammer and the other holds the bolt and paintballs feed into there. I am talking about the one on the top. It is above the bottom chamber (velocity screw)
I was just wondering if it was ok to take this out or not.
