I've played at the following, and have comments/questions:

Kualoa -- Crap rental guns when I went a few years ago... small course, though it's arranged to be somewhat like a woods game. I remember the guns would double-feed all the time *groan* but I was too young and inexperienced to really care. I'm not sure about the prices though, since it was at a friend's party.

Nimitz -- Great course, Tipmanns are the standard rental, and I really think it gets people into paintball because it doesnt throw **** guns at n00bs. However, it's tournament style courses may intimidate some people (like myself at the time =D). I dont remember prices =/

Bellows AFB -- I havent gone in a while but will this weekend... I remember that it was a rather big course that was really well set up. From what I remember and have heard, the prices are crazy ***. Does anyone know the costs for playing/paint? I heard a crate of 2000 was $90 and you had to buy their paint... know if this is true? Thanks

So is there anywhere else on Oahu that's worth paying for? Also, for those that go out and play on their own... where do you guys usually head to?

Thanks

I remember there being a small field somewhere here in Pearl City. It was called Junk yard Dog? or something along those lines because it was in a junkyard and they had a dog for their logo... I played there about two three years ago, and I remember they had just one speedball field which was also a motocross track of some sort. They had stingrays and tippmans for rental... I'm not to sure about the prices because I went with my church group. I'll try research it and get back to you ok?

PC's junkyard field is actually an RC course... really small, anything bigger than 3-man is too much there... cool folks, played there once, don't remember the prices, but they sold paint at 85/cs

Nimitz... oye.... nimitz.... it's fun, if you like playing 20-on-20 on fields designed to hold no more than 10-man reasonably... stacking 4 deep in every bunker on airball really sucks the big kahuna 12/walk-on, BYOP, and last week got stiffed on my 'no expiration date' expired free play pass... I'm guessing someone tried to burn down the building for good reason ^_^
But, the teams play there, so there's much skill going on, and is the only decent 'tourney field' on the island.

Kualoa, used to work there, team practiced for free, BYOP, was 10/walk-on, 25/rental spyders.... haven't been there in months because of work, and don't know what's going on there these days, rumors have been flying, might check it out on saturday just to see what's up

Bellows.... LOVE that damned field!!! the hills, bridge, building mock-ups.... day-am! sure, it's expensive, but I think lindy started dropping the prices, it used to be 15/walk-on, 30/rental, but it's supposed to be 10 and 25 now...? FPO, prices were 75/cs for 'house' paint, 85/cs for marbs or proball
all the regulars are pretty laid back guys, so the three times I've been out to play, I found it rather enjoyable, esp. w/the newbie guys from work that I play w/

Practiced at K-bay once w/ronin, field was okay, and I know the quarry by k-bay/kailua has a field, Proving Grounds, but never played there

then there's outlaw up the yin yang, of course ;)

Haha Where did I get Junk yard dog from? Well it was a couple of years ago since I was there... But they do have a dog for their logo right?

Outlawball fields:

There was a pretty deecent outlawball field in Millilani along the road to the cemetary, but my friend said the state closed it.

There is a little speedball field at the top of royal summit, it's a little hard to get to and a little dangerous to play on (seeing as it's on the rim of a valley) and all, but it was good fun for our little tournament we had on the 28th. It's a good place for playing woodlands though.

Theres supposedly a field out in Dole somewhere. I've never been there yet so I can't really comment on it.

I'm in the process of making an outlawball field by my house in the valley. I'll invite you guys to play as soon as I'm finished ok?

Haha, sure, but I know I'm going to get my *** kicked by all you regulars :( I havent even used my Spyder yet in the field, so I'm heading to bellows this weekend. It's a shame that I bought 40 bucks of marbalizers from Paintball Central when I filled my C02... I dunno... do you think I should go in with a loaded hopper/tubes? They DO sell marbalizers anyway... and I'm buying Zap from them as well.

Eh? Yeah... I dont really want to violate their whole trust and honor system thing, but I also dont want to waste my good expensive paint

Can you bring your own paint to bello's? Or do you have to use their field paint? I don't really remember...

When I go, I bring some of my own marbs and buy a box of the same stuff with friends... After all, I dont want to waste my paint :) When I last went they werent too picky as long as you bring the same type as they sell... but I think you have to buy at LEAST a bag if you want to get by. I'd just stick to buying their cheapest paint of the day.

doodler really sucks so you really should invite him out to play...he sucks a fatty....
but umm
yah there has to be more fields than that on this island,
and i have been hearing some good things about kualoa lately...i dont know though when i went there they like let the cows graze the field right before we went so there was **** everywhere...
the only good thing about this island is that if you live by the mountains, you can go hike back and set up your own course...and then beat up on your friends...
