Tippmanns are great, but most armortech and ariakon owners love their guns too. Check out the new Game Face recon. Go to the Game Face Paintball site.
I bet you would do better in scenarios with the mongoose though because that is what you have more game time with.

Well in the Tippmann forum you'll usually get tippmann biased answers.
Personally for straight scenario i'd get a tac one mag, tactical cocker or a phantom.

I'd get the 98c. wait I already have one, so you should get one too. They are relyable and alsome looking. they are almost imposable to brake, unless you smash it with a hammer. Even then you would have to hit it several times.

Depends what exactly you want out of it.
If you want a more woodsball type marker, or something that looks like the real deal.
If you want something that looks real you're going to have to pay out the wazzoo to give a Tippmann those looks. You'd be much better served to buy the afore mentioned Ariakon or Armotech or Game Face markers if you wanted a realistic looking marker.
From a purely perfromance standpoint you get more of a money type question. For some more cash you can have the Automag or Cocker scenario markers, both of which are very nice and will outperform the blowbacks you are otherwise considering.
The Phantom is another interesting angle, they are great markers if you can stand the limited fire power.

I'm with Coenen on this one, get the Mag, if you can afford it. But I definitely wouldn't get the 'Cocker, 'Cockers perform about the same as any Mech-Blowback you'll find out there. Mech 'Cockers at least. Now, an E-'Cocker is a totally different story.

i like the tac one mags, but they are a bit pricey, for cheap looks bt and ariakon/armotech take the ribbon

on the cocker thing i agree.mech cocks *childish laughter*are just not worth it.i used to not like you much but you get better every day.
personally i would just stick with the mongoose.tboard it or whatever you do on those things.save up for a higher end gun.
it doesnt sound like you would be using this new gun all that much so instead of buying an expensive scenario gun buy a regular high end that youcould use for everything.freestyles are going cheap these days.;)

Woods is no different than speedball in my opinion for a marker. One is as good as the next as long as you use it...I don't think the problem would be your marker, just your tactics with it. Stick with what you know, work with it, and keep on going. Don't go with a 98C because it looks cooler, go with what feels right.
Good luck.

yes i agree with you, but generally woodsballers aren't as rich as speedball players so that rules out allot of things and makes the 98 look very good in its category.

Get the new 98 Pro E Basic, it already has a drop forward, double trigger, and it is electronic. I have only heard good things about it and now I'm trying to sell my 98c and buy one of those.
