I just played at a Sup Air Ball Tournament with my Tippmann with the stock barrel and I took out several players with it, even the back players. But I know I need to upgrade the barrel, I used to have a 2001 cocker, but I got rid of it to get a Tippmann, the cocker jamed up and chopped balls left and right, so I just got the Tippmann and they are new to me, what do you guys think is the best barrel for speedball for the Tippmann?

LOL, Hi-End Semi, yea right, I had the cocker for almost a month and every time I played with it, something jammed up. It was professionaly tuned and timed, everything was good, its just cockers aren't real realiable, I have tagged many more people with my Tippmann then with my cocker, the Tippmann is a lot mroe realiable which is more important to me, and to be honest with you, I am more scared of Tippmanns on the field then cockers.

cockers are hard to use. if you dont know how to fix them or shoot them, they may not be the gun for you.
i'd suggest a lapco bigshot barrel because....their the best

Your right, cockers just weren't for me, yes I was thinking the BigShot, but what paint works good with it?

I use a Smart Parts All American 14" on my 98, it is dead accurate and isnt very loud, costs a bit more then the bigshot tho. If you had a little extra cash I would buy the All American, it's a great barrel, and it has a 6 month warrenty.

the bighsot is better than an AA

Both good barrels...
But you have to ask yourself this,
"Is an AA really worth twice the price of the bigshot"
I decided 'no' and picked up the bigshot for $50 at county.
I dont regret my decision for a second.

i don't see how a cocker can chop balls when its a closed bolt.

you can chop if your not useto the trigger. I too sold my cocker after a month. i just sold it cause i don't know how to maintain it.I think cockers are great guns but i would like more reliability. The big shot is a great barrel but if you want speed ball you should check out the xshort barrel by blackpoint

well when i had my tippy i had a 14in cp barrel they are great. and u said that cockers arent realible u must have screwed with it or something and they dont chop u just dont know how to shot it and u short stroke

LOL, cockerkid, I didn't mess with it, I got it professionaly tuned. Yes the trigger wasn't for me, I apparetly shoot way to fast for a stock cocker. Yes I could have got a hinge and done just fine, but why do all that when i could get a Tippmann and never chop a ball without having to spend an extra $100 on an upgrade.

I advise the Lapco, they are simply just so damn accurate. I liked mine so much I am getting a second... Just in case.

Are you that rough on your barrels that you need to buy a backup bigshot ?

Nahh, I'm just a perfectionist, if I see a slight discoloration, and if my precision isn't at "brand new" standards I just get a new barrel, you can beat that fresh out of the box consistancy. ;)

I am the same way, its horrible, I spend to much money on having backup everything.

Well, i can see where you both are coming from.
My totally tricked out M98 is my backup gun (which includes 4 different barrels for it).
I dont consider it a true backup though, considering its my main gun for woodsball play.
