Back before I joined the Navy I was an avid paintball player. I started out with cheap markers and after a few years worked my way up to an Impulse w/ PMI Pure Energy 68 ci 4500 N2 system. When I joined the Navy they stationed me in Yokosuka, Japan. Before leaving I sold off all my stuff thinking paintball didn't exist in Japan. When I arrived I found they had build a nice sized indoor X-ball field. Now I'm getting back into it and new a new gun, the only catch is the field only has CO2 and there are no other fields or means to find compressed air.
I'm looking for an x-ball/speed ball level gun with a focus on range and accuracy that will also run fairly well on CO2. Price is no object I just got my enlistment bonus. If anyone can give any recommendations it would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

OK MAKE SURE YOU WANT TO PLAY AGAIN. Test out guns, read reviews, figure out ure style, u play woods or speed? Size/weight, etc. Thats basic questions you should ask ureself.

are you sure there are no scuba shops or something, i would think that being surrounded by water, japan would not be that bad for that kind of thing, because compressed air could open up a whole different market for you.

Thanks you guys for the input. I am very interested in getting back in the sport. The Speedball field on base is great and there is alot of good competition. Yes there is a SCUBA shop too far from base but it still a 45 min walk. I am 20 years old E-4 and will not be able to get a car on base for a long time. It looks like I'm going to have to stick with to CO2 set-up. I've been doing alot of research and have become very interested in the new ion. The specs are unbelievable for the price. Is this marker really as good as they say? Also I was wondering what are some good enhancements for the ion? Price is no matter I want to put togather the best ion I can. Also, where can get a good anti-syphoned 20oz? Thank again.

hey, maybe u guys think i have no idea what im talking about but ive used my dragon intimidator with co2 and it works fine. also if you dont want to invest that much money on a gun, a friend of mine just brought a new trilogy autococker and he has run it everytime we playted with co2 and it shoots perfectly. the gun is about 180$ and it has the accuracy of a cocker and its cheap.

There's not to many ups yet for the ion. But there're nu boards, feed necks, triggers, and QEVs. There's more but i can't think of any more. Stayed up all night. I would try www.actionvillage.com for more stuff for the ion.

Get an ion, and get a buddy with a car into paintball. Then you all would be able to drive to the scuba shop to get your tanks filled. What about a bike? If its a 45 minute walk, that'd be about a 25-30 minute bike ride. Riding that would help keep you in top shape for playing speed ball. Plus you would have a nice time to just relax, think, and enjoy the Japanese air.
