If I get a 3000psi one, how many shots would I get? I think im going to go with either a PE 68ci 4500psi or a centerflag 68ci 4500psi but if I could get about 600 shots with a 3000psi, i might go with it instead. I can get all day air for 10 bucks. Tell me what you think I should do. Sorry for the numerous questions. I know little about air systems.

as for the number of shots, a ROUGH rule of thumb is to take the tanks cubic inches (ci) and multiply it by 10 to get the number of shots for a 3000 psi tank, or 15 to get the number of shots from a 4500 psi tank. So, a 68 ci 3000 psi tank would give you a bit less than 700 shots.

BUT, as far as i know, that is a low end estimate, so actually, i think you would get even more shots then that (probably.) I am not positive about these numbers though, so i would get some other answers to this question too.

hope i helped!

i personally would get a 68ci co2 and get 1700-2000 shots but if you want 700 from a 68 3000 you can. I like to not have to be constantly filling up my tank. just my $.02

gimpy, i think you could make your signiture a little longer so it totally covers IE page at 1900x1600 resolution, a little short right now, add some stuff that are on your wish list or something

I never got more than 1,000 shots from my 20oz tank on a spyder and Imp is a much more of a gas hog than a mechanic gun.

Anyways, get 4500psi tank, it's an investment, you can use the tank even if you switch to another gun. You will get about 900-1000 shots out of the tank.

once i get nitro, the only thing i need to worry about is to not switch from nitro to C02 or vice versa in a one day period, right? Like i said, sorry for the dump questions. i dont know anything about Air Systems, just markers.:P

That's what I read as well gimpy.

Plus once I went with air, I really don't care much for co2 anymore. A scuba tank costs 5 bucks to fill and lasts about 3 full fills with 68ci and then about 10-15 top offs. Which usually lasts about 1-2 months of every week play. While co2 costs 7 bucks to fill 20oz tank here.... do the math :)

Plus air is much more constant and easier on the mechanics of the regulator

these are great tanks. They are small, light, and look good. I used my friends java 45/45 and it was one of the best tanks i have ever used.

BTW. Ill be getting one January 12. Along with the smart parts drop and smart parts stickies. I can get a pic of it on my imp if you want.

2 things. 1, if you buy a 45/45, and some doofus field only fills 3k, youre screwed n shots. NEVER USE A CARBON FIBER CO2 TANK!!!!!!!!! read this :

well, I just read my last post and realized that it sounded like I was saying carbon fiber shouldnt be used for compressed air. What I meant was for co2 use. Read the article and find out what I mean
