Double trigger or RT, and a better hopper.
Hoppers to look at: Reloader 2 or an Ak.
Phathed
05-05-2005, 05:46 PM
I'm gonna get the Reloader 2 i was lookin it to that for a while but i don't have any money right now(B-day) anything besides a hopper?
Get an eggy!!! I love their looks they're shecksy!!
Phathed
05-05-2005, 05:47 PM
i dont need an eggy
Phathed
05-05-2005, 05:56 PM
I mean 19bps or whatever, is a little more than i need i'm a woodsballer, mainly, so i only need a reloader or somthing like that.
well you know 19bps is insurance that you never out shoot your gun :eyes:  :)

anything besides a hopper?
HPA tank would be nice. And if you can't do that maybe get your tank anti siphoned.
Yeah an egg would be overkill on a 98. lol
Phathed
05-05-2005, 06:13 PM
I think im leaning to the anti-syhphining because.....yeah thats why.
iliveforthis99
05-05-2005, 06:15 PM
Yeah HPA tank are KINDA on the steep side lol.

I'm thinking bout double trigg, Roc Cock, reload 2, and a stock. If i have enough sound good?
k00leo
05-06-2005, 11:54 AM
Some kind of Richachot and a Responce Trigger
Phathed
05-06-2005, 11:57 AM
Hmmm, No to the Ricochet because well i don't like it, as for the R-trigg,....i don't think so because it's not legal at Skirmish and i would like to go there.
iliveforthis99
05-06-2005, 12:00 PM
What do you play most of woods or speedball?
Phathed
05-06-2005, 12:01 PM
Mostly woods, i like speedball but i play woodsball a lot.
iliveforthis99
05-06-2005, 12:05 PM
Well in that case yeah a stock would be nice to have. It balances your marker out a bit more. But it's a pain in speedball. Just make sure you have a drop if you're going to get the stock.
Phathed
05-06-2005, 12:06 PM
OH ok yeah i was thinkin bout that and was trying to figure out what size hose i needed so i figure that out too.

apaches are 44 bux and feed 19 bps.why wouldnt you buy that?

i think you should buy a rt drop-in kit.
it really rips up all the other players:laugh:

You can use the shut-off plug on the R/T. Anyways, what would your price limit be?

05-06-2005, 02:28 PM
whats wrong with the ricochet? they're light, and the apache feeds super fast. you will never outshoot it with a 98
if you dont want RT either, get a double trigger, and maybe HPA or A/S
skippertipper
05-06-2005, 02:52 PM
God yall are being like the losers at my school. He doesnt want a ricochet ot r/t! As for the stock, get a Tapco folding stock. They are fugly, but are VERY light and fold its what i have
tighttippmann
05-06-2005, 03:47 PM
i wouldn't recommend a stock unless you are going to go sniper and have more time
to shoulder it:nod:
Phathed
05-06-2005, 05:42 PM
Thank u skippertipper.
U don't have to be sniper to have a stock, but i'm not getting into that. I don't like the looks of the ricochet, i like the reloader better, is that a problem? didn't think so! I will most likly get the double trigg.
And tippmannphreak, i don't know how much i'm getting but if i had to geuss....maybe 250? i don't know.
skippertipper
05-06-2005, 07:53 PM
No problem ;) Ive got a tapco folding stock and it weighs less than the BT16's and thats less than a pound! the website it here (http://www.tapco.com) They make real gun stuff too.

Theres a picture of the stock on my gun.

Sell your 98 and buy a 98c Pro E Basic, buy fast hopper (at least 15bps), antisyphon tube or expansion chamber, and you already have a barrel that fits it. I have only heard the best of things about that gun, people put it in turbo response mode and get 15bps with one finger! That's insane.

And i wonder how many balls get chopped by the bolt by shooting that fast w/ out eyes? Just stick w/ the old 98c and up it some more. Reloader 2, antisyphon for your tank, and a double trigger. And then if you're going to get the stock you would want to get a drop forward also.

no way revvy over reloader! ive heard some pretty nasty things about the shell on revvys breaking, and let me tell you, that a reloader shell won't break under normal conditions. ive dropped mine a few times, and its still perfectly fine.

Sorry for getting back to you so late. Anyways, these are the ups I'd reccommend for a 98 for around $250.00
VL Revvy 12v W/ X-Board~ $50.00
GTA Double Trigger~ $20.00
J&J Ceramic or CP 1 Piece Barrel~ $40.00ish
Palmer's Stabilizer~ $70.00
Shocktech Full drop~ $30.00ish
Dye Sticky 3's~ $30.00
Psychoballistics RVA~ $10.00
That's about $250.00 in ups. This is what I'd recommend, but it's not necessary.
I know people are goign to tell you to get the Reloader over the Revvy, but I don't like the looks of the Reloader.

New hopper, maybe a Ricochet AK or Sniper, If your feeling lucky, get the Apache. I got an Eggy II, but I can shoot the max for any mech, but it's mainly for when I get my new gun...*coughIONcough* Maybe another 20 oz? Also, some people say that the 16 oz Chrome-Moly is better then the 20. But it's all personal pref.
And, I advise you to change your sig, where it says Tippmann>Spyder. Fanboys absolutely suck.

It keeps getting brought up b/c it owns the Revvy and the Reloader for that matter, in ALL respects. Rico makes a better quality product(than VL at least), it's faster(than both), and in this case even cheaper.
Here's some advice that you can either take or leave:
Function over form, always.
I don't care if something is ugly if it works well then its worth it. You have a Tippmann, it's ugly, it works well, which is why you bought it. I can't fathom ANYONE buying a Tippmann for it's good looks.
As for the rest of it...don't underestimate the value of HPA as a power source. I was skeptical as well, but you need to at least try it before you rule it out.
Phathed
05-11-2005, 12:28 PM
I completly agree but i never ruled out HPA i said it was too expensive for me, i don't like the Ricochet because
1. I don't need 19bps
2. I know u said not to rule out something because of its looks but thats the reason i don't want it!
Anyway thanks for the advice.
Coenen
05-11-2005, 12:41 PM
If you were firing 19BPS I'd tell you to get a Halo. Extra loading speed is used for insurance against chops and dry fires.
You ever seen a guy with a Revy on a pump gun? Same principle.
In the end though, it will always be up to you. At least the Relo is better than the Revy.
TippmannPhreak
05-11-2005, 12:56 PM
Also, if I'm not mistaken, they make a Reloader internal kit, that fits in a Revvy shell. < Hawtt!11:wink2:
Coenen
05-11-2005, 01:06 PM
The original Reloaders were just unmarkerd Revvy Shells with Empire's new electronics package installed. VL sued though b/c they looked the same, hence the shell change.

And is butt ugly, and enormous. Besides, if it's not a force-fed loader, then it's not going to feed past 13. Sorry, fanboy.

The apache is not force fed. But it can do about 15-16bps. The nu drive for the 2k5 model can do about 18bps i think. Now pleaz let the all this stuff about the apache drop.

The mis-info about the Apache and what seemed to be an assertion that it was not force-fed, or "semi-force fed."
