im a newbie, but i dont understand, is there much difference between a cocker and a Tes. my gun has a t-board, anti-chop bolt, microswitch, hpa, and cockers dont seem to shoot faster. i was really thinking about an electro cocker but didn't notice much difference in speed, in fact my gun seemed to shoot faster. what do u think? oh and does anyone know how to delete posts?

Your gun seems faster becuase IT IS. A TES stock can shoot extremely fast, becuase its open bolt. Open bolt guns can cycle (shoot) faster. A cocker is closed bolt and takes longer to cycle. I'd say a mechanical cocker can crank out maybe 12 bps at the very very most But the advantage with a cocker is that is supposedly more accurate. Personally ive never liked cocker all that much beause theyre slow and if you brake em theyre verrrrry hard to fix. And only moderators can delete posts.

pro and cons with each gun, but i'll always shoot open bolt, to many moving parts on a cocker for me

does that mean that you shot an e-cocker, if so if your shooting 15bps on your tes, then your shooting 15bps on an e-cocker, the gun isn't going to make you shoot faster by it self
mech cockers are slower just like mech blowbacks
cockers have a more consistent operation than blowbacks, higher consistency equal more consistent shots, which equals higher accuracy, but with the right regulators any gun can have consistent shots
They also have less kick so people think they have better accuracy, but the closed bolt operation over a open bolt operation has no accuracy or distance advantage.
if closed bolt operation was so much more accurate than open bolt why would all the other open bolt electro pneumatics be on the market
cockers, because of the closed bolt operation, have a guaranteed full recock after each shot, provided by the ram
rather than a blowback depending on the sear to catch the striker after each shot

well i guess i couldn't tell whether it was faster, but i could outshoot my eggy 2 with y board with my tes while while i couldn't with my friends system x with an electric trigger.....(i think) so i just figured mine was faster. oh and does anyone know what a ramping chip is? thanx
