Bad reviews...

Heh. Have you guys read some of the reviews on the Custom 98 in the main part of this site? Man...there's a lot of idiots writing pointless, and stupid reviews. I just reported a bunch of them. Just thought I'd let some of ya know, to keep your eyes on that review section....I"m about fairness, and that stuff just isn't fair. Probably Spyder owners.

But...please, PLEASE, let's refrain from the same type of behavior on Spyder reviews. If you haven't used any particular marker, don't write a review on it, no matter HOW much you may dislike the marker, or owner thereof...

Crime Dog I thank You! One of my other jobs here is to clean-up those reviews. If other people were like me (scary thought! :eek: ) and they used the reviews to make their purchases based on what other people though to write in those reviews, it could be misleading and unfortunate. Please use the system properly or don't bother wasting your and my time.

I reported 3 pointless ones yesterday too, Some of those people can be so immature and besides that alot that oppose Tippmann just say jibborish about it. Pointless reviews...i think.:eyes:

I usually ignore reviews that don't have at least some substance. I don't give any credibility to the average rating of most products. I just skim though them all until I find one that has at least a paragraph in them.

And when I'm sitting at home bored, and can't get paintball off my minds, I usually spend a good 30-45 minutes on average reporting bad reviews. If I do it for any longer I usually get really pissed off because of all the stupid remarks left sometimes. =P

Exactly. To say that "everything" is good is misleading as well. As much as we all love our Tippys...if we're honest, we know our markers aren't perfect. Sure, they're CLOSE ;) but not perfect.

Objectivity is a good thing...and I think Tippmann owners will be respected because of it.

Well there shouldn't be a bad review at all. If all you wanna do is bash something don't post at all. Stating the negatives of something and just trashing something is totally different.

I agree, I just reported one today. Drives me crazy, especially when I see a rating, then click on the product, and then realize that a couple of people have totally ruined the review.

And on the extremely short reviews, I don't know about those. Some people want to write a review, others would rather it be just "on a scale of one to ten" is what I would guess. People are just lazy IMO.

i really hate when morons get on a comp. and esp. this site and start talkin smack about any marker, let alone .::pissed: .::pissed: tippmanns. u get people who haven't ever played or shot the marker, only what the hillbilly hick next stores point of view. I've probably reported over 100 reviews in a bunch of different sections, its fun doing it. Take a look through the brass eagle forums, especially the balls, they get so repetitive. I don't think people writing "using a slingshot is better than this gun" realize its not quite original and gets boring. Do your best to report, guys, and help make the site easier to read.

:pissed: i reported a few posts because they were just saying the dumbest things i've ever seen and giving it a 1 but now explaining y. they r giving tippmann a bad name. i also caught my friend dissing tippmanns in a post so a got him back on the field a few times. :D

I gave a stingray and a talon each 4's! I was very nice...and in my conclusion I said that the guns shouldn't get a 1 just 'cause they're B.E......they should get it 'cause they suck.

like me iz gonna buy a spyder cause my friend had one .he was gonna go show me a good 1 and its the same 1 he has got a 2in1. 2 days later we went to pla and his breaks and the whole day is shot. well after that i tried to find a site like this and went to the tippys and they had a good rating and some bad but the bad was some peeps that get on and diss tippys just for the hell of it thats what pisses me off and so i got my tippy and i love it!!!!

i salute you crime dog, this is the site i typed in in an attempt to find reviews on guns, and decide what to buy, the 98c caught my eye, and for 3 months i found other reviews on it and looked over its profile vigorously before purchasing it, and then, the nytt stykk barrel has such awesome reviews that im going to be buying that soon as well, because i trust this site, and yes ive seen some crap *** reviews, or ones that said nothing at all except a word for each section. keep up the good work, i go and look for crap reviews as well at times, mostly in the BE section cause people just go in and put reviews that describe nothing, and just say this sucks, which angers me, cause.. well ya im ranting now, good job though..
