Hey! I just bought a spyder shutter with 18" Boomstick (both barely used, i didnt choose that 18") and i am a front player. So im asking anyone who has used a remote to tell me whats bad about using a remote since the good aspect that most ppl always mention is that its lighter (duh!)

It can get caught on things....especially in woods games. The tank on your Arse is a pretty big target, and it limits you mobility with the gun(makes it harder to change hands and such. If you are a front line player...those are all severe drawbacks. I don't recomend any front line players having remotes, Unless you have a 114ci N2 tank...

I use a remote, run thur brush and stuff all the time.I also can change hands easy too.But remotes are not for everyone.Another reason I use one is I'm using CO2 so it help it gas off better when its colder.I also just mount the tank on the gun so i kinda go both ways too on this.

yeah you can.I have a piranha and used it on it.If I am playing speedball I don't like too use it.Seems to be a pain, meaning gets in the way.On my piranha I use a butt pad instead of a stock. If you know someone that has one try it on your gun before you spend 30 too 60 bucks for a stock.I did have a guy at a field ask to try mine. And I let him see how it felt. And i didn't know him .So ask someone if you can see how it feels on your marker

well a harnes does come in handey,When we play this one woods game 2 times a month theres like 50 on each team.So times you got too give cover fire for your team mate.Which means any where form 5 too 20 balls.Plus staying in the game.So if you dont have one your done once your out of paint and your usless too your team after that except too draw fire. When i know someone is out of air or paint we rush him.

somebody said they think a stock is needed if they have a remote. Why?

Don't buy a stock if you are going remote on a shutter. I tried to put my stock on my friends gun and the drop forward prevents you from being able to screw it in. To answer Paint Bulley a stock is important because it gives you better stability and something to brace against since you no longer have a tank to put to your shoulder.

You don't have too use a stock going remote, but the points pakman said is in most cases why they use them.My auto man i could aim easy with out a stock. Now my Impluse has a open bolt so i got a stock so I dont hammer my lens on my mask. And to have better control on my marker.

Yeah Creek, it helps me from getting smacked in the face from my back block too :). And now I remember that you can put a stock on a shutter but don't get a 45 degree elbow, try a 90 and see if that works. (I'm not sure because my stock only has a 45)
