For some people it is definitely worth it. If you think it is worth it go get one.

P.S. This doesn't quite belong in the Tippmann section.

Ghillies are good in sometype of terrain.
But If you are in a bush, and move, they will see you.
Other people will laugh at you.
It will get stuck in the branches.
It's hot.

just stick to camo.there was an article in APG about the digital camo being the one that works best.

Somebody said it before, but just a reminder: this goes in the Gen paintball section or the Strats and Tacts. Also, do a search...good arguments pro and con.

As for my opinion: it is up to you (in this case, you=brother). If you feel more confident with one, terrific and good luck. I personally don't let anybody tell me how to play, simply because sometimes the Gods of Paintball smile on me, and sometimes on the other guy. It is as much skill as luck, and confidence is a big part of luck.

my friend made a ghillie suit from some of that 'real-tree' fabric hunters use to make little tents and stuff, needless to say he looked goofy as hell. he walked into Dicks and hes wearin these baggy, real-tree colored chaps pinned to his pants.. comedy insued  . and yes, my friend is an idiot..

as for how it worked in-game, it didnt. he took it off after the first round i think. unless youre going to be in a position where youre going to be able to sit and actually use the ghillie suit likes its intended to be used, dont use one. for regular woods ball, like mode said it snags, you look goofy as all hell, its not very practical for paintball.

I do not think they do well. I typically just wear all black when I play. All I can say is that I have never been hit and been like "WHOA, I DIDNT EVEN SEE YOU THERE!!" just because of what they were wearing.

i say if u have the patience like a sniper to stay in one place and wait for them, then get it but if u have to move alot then dont get it

after that i moved up a little more and tagged him twice in the back. later on he said he thought he heard something but didnt see me at all, this might have been his lense being dirty/foggy but it was in the middle of the day so it wasnt dark or anything. at the time i didnt think the woodland/vest broke up my outline too well but i dont know..

This thread was big time dead, I don't think that it needs a new lease on life.
