It really depends on what type of game you play most, speedball or woodsball. I've owned a 98c for nearly a year and found it to be an excellent marker. It's durable, reliable, and overall great for some starting out. I did all the upgrades that you did except for the scope. I've found that I'm playing a whole lot more speedball than woodsball and that the 98c is too long and heavy. It's also almost impossible to damage it so bad as to stop functioning. Don't get me wrong it's a great marker, but I have recently opted for a shorter more compact Black Dragun. I have yet to regret it. It has the fire rate of an angel and is just as accurate as my old 98c. The 98c is a great gun for woodsball by, to me, is just too long and a little unbalanced for a compact hyperball field.
I've also had the oppotunity to use a Bruizer Outlaw and I believe it is a great gun. I is very consistant and can run on co2 or HPA and have almost the same performance. It isn't as robust as a 98c but it isn't weak by any means.
Another question you should ask yourself is "Do I really need a new marker for the way I play?". If the answer is yes, go for it.
