What's the effective range of these two pistols? Just wondering...

stock outta the box you can only get 210 fps out of these guns. If you go to bottom line you get a bit more if you modify the valve and airways you can get up to 300+. Little tip i used a 12 gram wit the top hole expanded as a volumizer on my pt extreme and it helped with consistancy on the bottom line. Also if you get an angled duck bill and put it on backwards so the tank is forward you will not get liquid into the gun while it is in the holster. and a 3.5 or 4 oz tank works great for this. Yes you do have to get a bit creative with the hose to run bottomline and use most holsters.

As far as the range outta the box id say 40 feet give or take.

Mess around with the velocity screw on your ptx before you go out and buy a whole bottom line setup.
Out of the box i chronoed mine at 275 and was able to get it over 310 w/ the velocity cranked to the max.

NOt doubting you, paintball babe, maybe you recieved a bum ptx or something, i dunno.
