I think paintball should be in the Olympics. I think that it is a much more widely played sport than the one where you push a rock and try to make it go really far by polishing the ice.
It is more popular than a lot of things that are in the Olympics.
They got paintball all over the world. So put it in the Olympics
Paint Beijing in 2008!

I don't think it should. In the US it is very common but curling (that's what you described) Is played in many different countries. Granted other countries have pb teams there are hardly any and they wouldn't have any competition in their country.

WAAAAAT in the newspaper! Take a picture I wanna see! But man there are so many countries with GOOD paintball teams. Even Isreal has a paintball team man (no joke) I think it would be freakin awesome and a new addition. The only thing is that the Olympics are from like the Greeks and the Romans and they didn't have paintball back then... Hmmm...
It would be funny to see like Dynasty and Bob Long players and people being on one team for the USA lol. I think of it like hockey, all the people on the same teams have to go on different teams because there from that country.

And then getting pulled for wiping or ramping, that'd be so awesome. Not.
Yea, paintball and videogames have both been considered.

I actually hope it doesn't happen. I'd like to see it in the x games, but not the olympics.

I'd love to see it, but I doubt it. X games? Maybe. You never know, maybe it will be.

ya i could definitely see it working its way into the x games. haha to see it in the winter x-games would be rad too! theres quite a few sports in the x-games that are in the olympics as well. we just have to wait, it'll probably be a while, probably a good 10 years or so but i think paintball will definitely work its way in somehow. it has to be introduced more to people. its gaining a lotta popularity so if this keeps up we should definitely see it there.

theoretically, having the eyes of the world watching you represent your country would discourage blatant cheating like that. and before you say it, steroids are more subtle than wiping and ramping.
as for video games, let's see some proof, because right now i think you're just trying to be as cynical as possible.
i want a pball channel...there was a petition last year or sutmin for there to be paintball on espn channels...when i signed it there was only 2000 ppl who signed...idk how many more after me...but definitely we need a paintball channel idk how i could live without one its rly getting me ticked off...i mean how can curling and waterpolo and javelin and fugure skating be more popular than paintball...thats pathetic...we need newer players FAST!!...you see a noobie pretend as if hes an ok guy and stuff...if everyone gets one noobie to get interested in the sport...that will double our participants belive it or not...yes noobies are stupid and get you annoyed but i think its time to welcome them into this sport for our benifit...do it for yourselves...and for the sake of other pballers.

It would also fit in the games because the olympics were created by the Greeks to help them keep their war skills in times when there is no war, and paintball it pretty simular(sp?) to war in the aspects of shooting and when you get shot you are out. So in my opion I believe that paintball should be in the olympics.

The U.S. would probably destroy everybody if it was in the Olympics.

Ummm....No
Red Legion has kicked the crap out of everyone in both the states and in europe. It would be a hell of a match between the USA and RUSSIA, but my money would be on the red legion.

I see some of your-alls point. but I don't think of the olympics as an "only ancient" thing. This is becasue of all the more modern sports that are in there.
Mountain biking
skiing
Snowboarding
figure skating
bike racing
Baseball
Basketball
Hockey
(I know some of these got there start in ancient times but I don't think they started with the greeks.)
Sure paintball is fairly new, but so were all those sports at one time. The Olympics change. The way I see it is that the sport has to be physical. that is why things like video games and cards, and driving, shouldn't be in there.

Yea thats true, ITs like athletes for all those sports work out and train and ect all the time. But what about shooting. Isn't shooting in the olympics? (Like with a real gun?)

Several events.
But that is more marksmanship.
Hitting a target the size of a pencil eraser that is exposed for four seconds isnt exactly a easy task, especially when you can't sholder your rifle till the target is revealed.

I really don't think anyone needs any actual skill to be a good pb player. Just actual knowledge will help you a lot. There is no real "advantage" that one person has over another except better plays or being able to move their fingers faster... or wipe.

if beach volleyball can get in and bobsledding then i hope pb can.
