Hi, I just recently bought the Icon E package from 800paintball.com and I was interested in buying a Sight like a scope for my gun. But the problem is that the sight rail is right behind the hopper, so if I do buy the sight, and install it on the sight rail, wont it just be blocked by the hopper and the tube connecting the hopper to the gun, Or can I install it to be beside the Sight rile or on the side of the gun some how
Thanks a lot in advance

My opinion: in a real game, you are not going to be able to use the sight. bel;ieve you me, cuz i once had a sight on my first spyder cuz i though it looked cool but in a game, ur not going to use it. anyway, if u do want to do it, its going to take a lot of work. cuz u got a vertical feed, so the only other way to mount the sight without the elbow getting in the way; making the gun have an 45 degree elbow. but thats near impossible. the other thing is to mount the sight on the side of the gun. other than that, there is not much to do, but ur not going to use it that much.

This works on a spyder and I am pretty sure an icon also. http://www.polecatpaintball.com/straight.htm
There is a site that sells a offset sight rail. But I agree with grorrita that sites are basically usless in paintball.

You would be better off spending the money on upgrades for your marker.

Thanks alot for the advice guys
Good point on the sight rail :)
I got another question. When I go to upgrade sites for your guns, I see that there is different sizes between them, and I see one that's a sniper barrel and its 21 inches, but are the longer ones always the furthest shooting and most accurate? or just get another barrel that's 14 inches and replace my barrel that came with the gun
Thanks in advance

I suggest you dont get a barrel any longer than 14in since it can actually hurt the range of your marker. and a scope on a paintball gun wont help much because th paintballs arc arter around 50 feet

Scopes = bad because a paintball gun is always going to be interfered with things such as wind, distance, and even just by your gun itself.
Barrels over 14 = Waste of a lot of things. Waste of space(too long, hard to hide), waste of money(their usually expensive), waste of air(it uses more air to make the paintball travel down the barrel), and waste of looks(they make your gun look bad!).
With a 14 inch barrel, you can get better air effeciency. A longer barrel doesn't mean it will make a paintball go farther or be more accurate. Only a tippmann flateline will let a paintball go further(But we won't get into that right now).
Why have such a large barrel when you can get better effeciency, the same distance, and less irritation with a barrel much shorter? Just get the 14 inch.
The only way a paintball can go farther is if your velocity is higher, but almost all paintballs go the same distance because of the fields velocity rules! So, there is no point in trying to get more distance.

Dont get over 14inch...my 16 inch always gets in my way in the woods.

Kid, you can't snipe in paintball. If you've ever shot a paintball gun most people can figure that out. As I've said countless other times, over 16 and under 11 are bad. Too much and there is alot of increased friction and higher chance of ball breakage. Not to mention it DOES NOTHING after around 13 or so inches other than slow your ball down. Too short and not enough guiding force and the ball will go crazy.
