1. I've heard that the Shocker can fire further than an
Angel

2. Matrix and Shockers can only get 600 - 500 shots in every fill.

Hahahhahah ya the magic pixie dust and gnomes inside the shocker add 100 feet range. Or not! all guns shoot the same distance

Shooting at the same 300fps all guns will shoot the same distance, except something like a Flatline barrel that hooks the paintball.

The reason it SEEMS like the Shocker has more distance is actually "consistancy." With the low psi, and good Max-Flo reg it has a very good consistancy. With each shot the ball lands in pretty much the same spot, hence accuracy, consistancy and the percived "distance."

20oz CO2 tank=900 Shocker shots
68/3000 HPA=400-500 Shocker shots

Yeah, i get dead on consistency, +-2, so it's damn accurate at long ranges

I like "messing" with people on the field, by that I mean shooting at them with little chance of hitting them. Just to see them jump :) With my M98 and Automag, I never did/do much than scare them. Sometimes do I tag them using the Mag...

With my Shocker I gog them without even trying. I just shoot at them to see them dodge, and WHOOPS I just shot him in the head!

"Just funnin' with 'ya!"

The Excalibur is the next generation of high end tournament guns. It's an electro, closed bolt, low pressure, high efficency gun. Each one is hand made by Aaron Alexander of AKA. It is semi only and from the factory is capped at 10.5 bps. There is a computer link cable coming out that will let you change the ROF and dwell times. Even at 10.5 bps you can still outshoot a 12v rev with fresh batteries. It is very easy to attain and sustain 10 bps with it. The trigger is adjustable on 3 points; front stop, back stop and point of fire. If you want to replace the trigger spring you could say it has 4 points of adjustment. The trigger switch has a very small recovery time. This means that the distance between the point of fire and return is short. This shortens the overall trigger travel. By running LP it will stop on balls instead of chopping them and doesn't distort the balls as they are being propelled. Right now the efficiency is between 1.25 and 1.5 psi per ball on an 88ci tank shooting 285 fps. It uses AKA's Tornado Valve. It's also closed bolt so.... (I'm not getting into the open vs closed arguement except to say I've shot both over the years and I prefer closed bolt in my firearms and my paintball guns.) They use 'Cocker threads so I don't need to buy special barrels.
This gun made me sell both of my Bushmasters. Not because of the price but because it showed me I don't need them! They are not cheap though. Mine is a factory milled version and MSRP is $1350.00 The unmilled versions are $1275.00. The anodizing is type 3, which is one of the hardest available. The regulator on it is a Sidewinder. The Sidewinder was developed especially for this gun. It is high flow at low pressures. The input to the gun is between 150 and 180 psi, depending on the fps you're shooting. I have Sidewinders on some of my 'Cockers and it performs flawlessly. It uses a 9 volt battery. It has ports to control a Warp Feed and Intelli-Feed. There's also a port for a recharger for the battery.
This isn't a gun for the casual player. This is for the serious tournament or rec player.
Take a look at our team web page. There are a bunch of videos of the Excalibur on the videos page. There's also more pictures on Nick's, Brandon's and my pages. Click on members to get to them. The web page is http://jump.to/teamwiseguys. You can also find out moe info on AKA's site at http://www.akalmp.com

Hope this cleared up some questions. If not lemme know!

Well, I now consider myself informed. Sounds like a cool marker. Maybe after I wear out my Shocker......

Cool team website too. The videos were great. I'm love to have a media taping me and my friends. I'm actually a photographer, but I'd rather be playing :)

Did you check out the sponsor videos? They are large but well worth the time. I've been into photgraphy and videography for a long time. It's a natural crossover for the computer videos.
Glad you liked them. It's one thing that sets our site apart from many others.

"Time" is a realative thing when you use a cable modem. I just watched them.

The 1st one: Sorry, but I don't like that Ozzy song. :P You have to understand, I live in Iowa, and that song is on once every 2 hours on one of the few non-country radio stations around here. The action was good.

The 2nd finals vid: Way cool. I liked the close shot of I think the back guy hammering. The part of the two guys on opposite sides of the field was cool too.

I couldn't make it thru both of them. Too little attention span :(
