fronts and backs

are there different threadings when you connect a front and a back? can a front from a dye ultralight barrel fit a back from the freak kit?

Yeah, all the barrels have different threads in the middle. So for instance, you couldn't put a dye front on a freak back. Freak and AA barrel fronts/backs are interchangable, same with Boomstick, Ultralite, etc.
