Alright, this is what I would do.

#1.

I would buy the Orion, see if you like paintball, and then after I while of playing, put a Spyder Electronic trigger frame on 'er!

#2.

Buy a Spyder Victor II, my brother had an Orion and it was missing a ballstop.

#3.

Buy the Orion, and have one fun time.

I hope you have a fun time playing paintball.

Wrong. Viewloader (and B.E.) guns have a slight knub on the trigger frame that extends upwards. Having this only allows you to use the Viewloader E-Frame. It's a pain since Spyder frames are much cheaper in price. I tryed to have some fun putting an E-Frame on a Marauder, yet to no avail.

I'd combine those two steps, get the Orion, that way you don't waste a lot of money if you don't like paintball, and after a while you find you really do like it, get an electronic Spyder like an Imagine and keep the Orion as a backup.

Well for the 3 Spyder Frames I tried on an orion, marauder, and raptor, it did not work. Now maybe your brother did some extra drilling and raised up the trigger (I really don't care) But the trigger is slightly raised on ALL VIEWLOADER GUNS (Yes I know it's a maxis but I couldn't get a good pic of an orion, even with Google.)

I know all my VLs (3) have the same bump. It always puzzles me when I hear of someone putting a Spyder grip on a VL. The VL E-grips are relatively expensive too and are capped at 7bps. If you want more you need to go with a Spyder. The Orions are solid and dependable and with a decent barrel and a cheap regulator should last a long time and teach you a lot.

Couldn't you make your own E-frame for the Orion using the stock grip, a solenoid and a spyder board?

Stuff is tucked in the Prodigy grip pretty tight, someone that knew their stuff could probably put a new board in there though. The cheapest place for a VL E-grip is on e-bay. Just buy a whole Prodigy. LOL

Probably around $40-$50, you almost have to be an Anti-Spyder to go that route though. If you had skills you could go that route though. Just to be different.

spyder egrips dont work unless you get a custom milled sear which you will have to find someone to make

i tried an egrip on my orion, lets just say it didnt work.

Hi All!

I've got a VL Orion, with a 8" barrel. But I think its too small, so I decided to change it a longer one.But I don't no witch one.
I've got two ideas about, but i don't no, is it fits on them.

16" J&J Spyder Ceramic Barrel
16" CMI SPYDER SNIPER BARREL

Witch one would I choose? Whats Your opinion about?

Please help me! :) THX!

I would go with the Ceramic. They're cheap, of good quality, accurate, and pretty quiet.

THX. I think I will take the J&J Ceramic.

I Ordered from e-bay, becouse In Hungary, its very expensive, it costs about 150-200$, but if I order from the USA, its only 50-60$... Its crazy

uh, no buy the orion. If you decide you really like paintball, then keep using the orion. If you decide you want to spend some big bucks on an overrated gun that has a cheapo electric trigger frame than get the imagine. If you decide you want a good quality cheaper electric gun, get the dragunfire compact. As far as i can tell, the orion will last you forever and it is as good as any low end spyder. Just keep the thing clean and use good quality paint. Also, dont shoot it too fast.

My friend has a VL Orion and it works awesome, hes hit me in the face from about a hundred feet away and hes had no problems with it, so id say to go for it, but you should def go for the package that has the extra barrel

Although i don't recomend it for prolonged use it is an excellent starter gun and even shoots fine I bought mine just to shoot all the kids whose mommies buy them dm4's and show them it is an Orion also it is fun to play around with modding it without worrying about breaking an expensive gun
