i just saw this little thinggy about gettin shot in wierd places posted by DarkeWolf. as much as some person would say the(balls) are the most sensitve area, well unless your playing like butt naked.......... your wrong. from MY experiance the ear, finger, and neck are the ones that'll make you say OWW!! if i missed anythingg write em'' down. :eek:

Well, I personally gotta say that I got shot in the head just above where my mask protects and it HURT!!! well mostly because the little rat bast*rd that shot me had his velocity up 2x the norm!! I hate little darn kiddies like that!! LoL pballa - I think taking a shot to the family jules would hurt a bit!!!!:eek:

I've been shot in the finger tips many times. After 20 seconds the sting is gone. I've been shot in the Adam's Apple many times and it's never even phased me. (maybe I just have a strong neck.) I've been shot in the boys only once. It was the only shot that dropped me to the ground, blacked out my vision, and forced me to claw up chunks of dirt to keep me from throwing up. You can say whatever you like about nut shots, but until you take a bad one you'll never know.

I've been shot on the head, once. And not the head with the mask, either. The other head. And it bounced.
Needless to say, I layed down behind my bunker for about 2 minutes, screaming. Then I got so pissed I got up, did a runthrough, and was sure to bonus-ball everybody. The ref was laughing like crazy... after the game, I proceded to lay back down on the field and cry. I walked like a cowboy for the rest of the day.

Don't believe me? Ask any one of my teamates. Anger/pain sure has a strange tendency to enhance one's aggression, and thus his game. :|

I still have a small purple-ish welt on the left side. :(

Been scalped twice, but it is not too bad. Shot hot in the had with two balls...worst pain I have felt. It was swollen, and bloody, not fun at all.

Yea guys seriously...getting shot hot KILLS.I got shot from an inch away while reffing, and the guy was shooting mad hot. We chrono'd his gun and it was at 340. It pierced the skin and I had it bandaged:(

Getting shot in the fingers or the hand really doesn't hurt to me. Though, one time I got hit right below my thumb, near the index finger, and my thumb went numb.

The place that hurts the most has to be on the neck near your cervical vertebrae. Though, when I got shot there it got rid of a whiplash or two.:tup:

As for the crotch, I've only gotten grazes and thigh shots. So, nothing really bad.

The worst for me is definitely been in the back. It mostly has to do with that element of surprise.

When a player doesnt have a plug in when they are suppposed to a ref will either walk up and grab the barrel and point it at the players feet or put his finger in the barrel.

I saw a kid waving a loaded [air and paint] marker around in the staging area so I went up and put my finger in his barrel. He looked right at me and went "You know if I pulled the trigger..." and pulled the trigger thinking his safety was on, it wasnt. I had a ball travel 8.5 inches at 300fps directly against my finger. That doesnt even qualify as point blank, the ball didnt even leave the barrel.

Needless to say that person hasnt played at my field sense and never will.

Worst pain ever,

I was reffing for a junior tourny (ages 9-13) and some kid decides it would be fun to shoot the ref. He opened up on me! At least 50 balls all over my lower body, legs, crotch, by the end of it it looked like I had.....you can guess. Well after the inital shock wore off I started to feel a strange stinging sensation. I went back to the "shack" and took off my skivvies only to find that it looked as if the skin had been scraped off my legs, and pelvic area, they honestly looked like burns. Shocked I called the kid over to the chrono station, the little **** was running at 395 fps...I walked like a cowboy for two weeks!

Seriously RCX after i read that all i could say was oh my god. That must have hurt oh so bad jesus. Reminds me of in 300fps when the guy has his thumb over his bbarrel and is sitting in the deadbox and accidently shoots himself. I think that RCX should have to write a story once a week since hes great at telling them. I've been shot in the fingers, lips, and groin. But for some reason it dosen't faze me. The only shot that REALLY hurt was when I was playin an outlaw game with my friends. It was a free-for-all (all against me) and before I could get to a bunker, !WACK! right in the cornhole.

Let's talk about the idiot newbie who blasted me there in a "friendly" round robin tourney. And the subsequent 15 second blackout, the trip to the ER that night, the head CT, and the concussion that resulted.

I will say, I played a game later in the day, with an ice pack tied to my head with a bandana, and lit that kid up like a christmas tree.

In February I got hit in the hand (no glove) while someone was shooting pretty hot, that hurt some.

heh I got friendly-fired in the back of the head once. Thank god it was high enough to hit the bone or I would have been thuroughly screwed.

Ok let me rephrase if it will make you happy Murderdoll.

After having the skin removed form my legs and pelvic area by no less than 50 paintballs, I walked bowlegged for two weeks. After receiving some interesting stares, I went the doctors and got some cold cream, which caused me to walk like a penguin b/c the air hitting the raw flesh and the cold cream stung like you wouldn't believe.

I got shot on the lip last saturday, it went numb for 4 minutes, and I had a canker sore on the inside of my lip where I got shot, it swelled to twice the size it was before, it's starting to go away now.

I got shot in the ear. I have to admit it made me whine. I had my back to the bunker for a minute and kinda fumbled my marker and I leant to the right and got shot in the back of the ear... ouch.

Hand shots hurt also. Oh and neck shots...

RCX, why would you stick your finger in a barrel? I have nothing but respect for you, but that was almost asking for trouble. I hope we all learned a valuable lesson from that, ouch. How long until it fully healed?

My team was doing some 3 on 3 scrimmages, I went to bunker the last person. As I was turning the corner of his bunker, he was running out to bump up, and it was instantly 5 balls from about a foot away. Hit my finger and my arm. This was about a month ago, and the scar is just starting to lose color. And the worst thing was, after the game, I told him to chrono because I was bleeding, and he was shooting ~340.

1) People tend to get pissed when you grab their marker and point it at the ground.

1A) He was in a STAGING area with a fully gassed and loaded marker waiving it around at face height.

1B) You send a message when you walk up and put your finger in the barrel and stand there until they notice. It gets the message across a bit better then screaming at people.

2) Thank You, But I prefer the safety of my players before the safety of myself. I wasnt the one who learned a lesson from that. After nearly a hundred people I have done that to i've only been shot that one time.

3) Only thing that saved me from a broken finger is the fact that my finger couldnt move much due to the barrel. I had it in a splint though for a month.
