know any?? i heard a rumor that limp biskit (don't know how to spell that), barenaked ladies and ricky martin paintball.

limp i can understand.....but what the hell?? why is ricky martin paintballing too???

Anyway...do you think that with the growing popularity of paintball that it will become a fad rather than being a sport?? I mean, look at snowboarding. it was considered x-treme sports until fashion designers and other celebs turned it into a trend. Thus, snowboarding isn't taken seriously. Ever think that might happen to paintball???

if it becomes trendy, i can juust see bob longs ironmen setting things straight by walking onto total request live and giving carson daly a few welts..then theyll take paintball seriously heheheheheheheheheh!!

It's a thin line to walk though. One one hand you want people to get interested and play so there will be more people to play with and so 1)guns will be cheaper 2)paint will be cheaper 3) there will be more fields... and so on. But the fact that only a few people are into it is also part of paintball's appeal. It's like our little secret that brings us joy and happiness, and part of the fun of that is that no one else knows about it. Take DBZ for example. That was cool back when I was in elementary school and I was the only one who knew about it. But now they have it on cartoon network and every damn kid is into it. It kinda makes it seem less special, but now I can talk to just about anyone about it and make a human connection. If everyone paintballs it will lose some of it's luster I suppose, but if everyone is into it, then I can play against a whole lot of people and have giant scenario games and all that fun. But I really doubt paintball will ever become mainstream. Pain tends to weed the real from the fake very quickly. :badboy:

paintball is getting close to mainstream. There are more fields and paintball shops opening around. Marbs used to be about a hundred bucks...now they're down to 60. Prices are already decreasing. Um....i think this is a rumor or something but paintball is a recognize for X-treme sports.

and hey, if ricky martin can stand the pain....i'm sure millions of his adoring fans will to. Trust me....monkey see...monkey do.

yeah, i'm wanting paintball to be it's isolated thing just so that we can have something "special" together..hahahaha
