New spyder-threaded barrel (J&J Ceramic or CP 1-piece)
Motorized hopper (VL Revolution 12 volt is a good one)
Other things you might want to look into:
VL Vertical adaptor
Regulator (most will fit on other guns)
HPA tank

whats up. so you have a vl orion. well the only upgrades i know for that specific gun is the viewloader cradle drop forward, the viewloader regulator and the electronic grip. the electronic grip can turn your marker full auto. i do warn you though, it is not that cheap at all if you will like to see them go to the viewloader website and click proseries.
hint: this marker takes spyder barrels or any after market barrel that accepts spyder barrels

if you go electro dont bother doing it to your vl buy a spyder
as far as upgrades go dont get a regulator its pointless if you have nothing else on the gun get the vl pro series expansion chamber kit it comes with everything you need vertical adaptor expansion chamber lines all that good stuff
you will also want to get a barrel, the vl proseries barrel works great i have one on my orion and it shoots extremely accurate untill you break paint

once again wmballer you don't own a Brass Eagle or VL product, you bash them at every opportunity, don't you have anything better to do??? go and check out all the spyder parts that fit all the spyderds because all spyder parts fit any spyder marker...
back to reality, VL orion can be very and i mean very easily outfitted with spder regulator, even the threading is the same so you don't need the vertical adapter! the one below looks like has been modified to fit standard spyder thread, but its to give you the idea

this is a link to the thing on e-bay
any spyder thread barrel would fit, and any spyder electro frame will fit, if you really want to go low pressure get the regulator, then drill out the hole in the bolt, and change the springs accordingly.
check out my site www.nocpan.com and goto the paintball section

acctually i have an orion, and i dont bash viewloaders, i dont like them but i dont say never buy them or their complete crap.
as far as regs go THEY WILL FIT ANY GUN!!!!!!!!not just spyders you obviously dont know much about paintball products. and i have enough experience with testing different products to know what works and whats pointless and on a stock vl orion you dont need a regulator, once you get a different valve and a bolt then i would think about it. but its not worth it. a viewloader is a beginner gun, THATS A FACT!! you will never see someone like rocky cagnoni or keely watson shooting a viewloader!!!!!

Co2 regs don't work on air-only markers....
I would get:
J&J Ceramic Barrel
C.A.M.D. 2.0
Empire Reloader, VL egg, or VL revy,(two actual good products made by VL)
Don't bother with a reg...Can you even use air on it?

I never said that regs don't fit all spyder clones, but if u get something like shocktech regulator, you will need the adaptor, if you pick the old spyder 1gen regulator meant for compacs and other early spyders you don't need to do that, although newer dual stage regulators are more efficient.
To the best of my knowledge there are no other bolts that will fit orion, you can custom order a tigershark bolt from the ppl that make them, just mail them and ask. But you can enlarge the hole in the stock bolt and ur good to go. Not all expensive bolts do the job, I use old pirahna bolt on my pirahna e-force, and I shoot constant 240 fps at 350 PSI, I can fire 10 time in a row and I'll get 1 or 2 fps variance when I put in the pirahna green bolt or the tigershark bolt i don't get those results, lesson to be learned? just because its new and costs lots of money i doesn't mean it works better.
As to pro's not playing with Orions? pro's don't play with open bolt blow back period! they wouldn't even concider ur electronic spyder for crap! the demands of them game change when playing pro, u need the bps, you need the anti chop eyes and halo B's to keep up.
For a regular player who wants to shoot some on the weekend any open bolt blowback is great when kept in good condition.
Its like saying that Jeff Gordon woudn't drive the track with a toyota corolla!!
In one day I played with Stock Pirahna BL, then took my girls orion then borrowed by friends Imagine and finished with my own Pirahna R6 E-force, all markers with 14 inch barrels, no difference in shooting except that electronic shot more quicker!
Again back to the topic, if you want a regulator go for it, it has great advantages, more constant pressure, less ball breakcage, if you get the springs right the tank will last you wholle lot more,
If you decide to go with a regaultor like
the Spyder TL one here is a link to the whole kit
http://www.xpaintball.com/spydtlplusre.html
it works great! and threads fit the bottom line adapter in the orion.
if you want a vertical regulator like say Dye Detonator
http://www.paintballondemand.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=879
you need this:

http://www.vlproseries.com/bostve.html
the vertical adapter!
good luck

i have an orion and i tried my friends spyder imagine frame on it and it doesnt work. not every spyder electro frame will fit it, but i want my orion to be electro anway so if you do know a spyder electro frame and HAVE ACTUALLY TRIED IT AND KNOW THAT IT FITS then send me a pm or something.
