Anyone ever played paintball in the dark? Like, no lights, at night kinda dark. I tried it once with another friend. Pretty scary stuff. It's like, you can't see your opponent, but you always think that you heard them. But you don't dare fire becuase then they'll know exactly where you are.

It's pretty tense stuff.

Like, the one time I did it in my backyard, I kept hearing things. Adrenaline must have been getting to me. I heard some crunching of grass in the distance, and decided to make my way about 100 feet to the north end of the yard. When I got there, I didn't see him. TAT TAT TAT TAT TAT TAT. He lit me up while he was in a tree. B****. Oh well, it was some fun stuff.

Anyone else tried it? Share your experiences.

I gotta try that. Buy some little party flash lights (those little nasty ones that are capable of lighting up...nothing...and use those. Perhaps cover the lights with toilet paper to dim them a little.

One time, we played on this big construction field with all these big dirt mounds (about 15-20) and lots of trees. You can get 20 dollar lasers that go 4000 feet at night. Well we attached them to our guns and started playing, we made a rule that you couldnt turn them off. It was great. we also played with those glow in the dark balls from Diablo.

I played a 1 v 1 in the woods in the dark. I was getting cold and tired so I shot myself in the foot and called the game off.

I've been paintballing under a blacklight and that really sukked. Never, ever, go to Dark Armies- read the field reviews, you'll see why...

I haven't yet, but would like to go at night. They have several scenario games that are overnight. Usually, they require you to turn down your velocity, because night games are much more close quartered.

Playing at night is horrible. I have done it twice and hated it both times. First off, it is dark. Second, you have no idea where the opponent is. Third, you fog up bad!. I just stopped playing and went to sleep, since I couldn't see. I just walked away from the group and tried to find my way out, but I couldn't see. I actually had to prop my goggles up a little bit so I could see out of them.

I played a scenario game in the dark and was shown the ropes by a 15 year experienced scenario veteran. No, I don't need a flashlight. Just my ears and a little natural nightvision. I've told my stories before in this forum about ambushes, spotlights, infiltrating bases, and other adventures. I don't want to tell them again:P.

In the dark, darkness is safety.

Would you mind posting a link to the thread in which you've told these stories?

I played at my friends house whos front yard is huge and nothing but woods and we were playing 5 on 5 it was CTF with a glow stick and that was the only light that we had
when we started the game my team told me to walk a fence line that lead directly behind the other teams base and when i reached the end of the fence the flag was about 15 feet away from me but one of the other teams guys was guarding it so i had to make a mad dash at it grab it and run down the hill with everyone shooting at me because no one know who i was or whos flag had been grabed so when i finally reached the bottom of the hill and noticed that none of the paintballs had busted i hung the flag and won the game
(that was the first paintball game i every played)
