Hi, this is my first time playing Paintball and also new to the forums. I just recently got a Piranha R6 which I will soon upgrade the barrel and so on. When I bought my gun, everything worked and such, but it was used. It didn't come with an instruction manual and now i don't know how to open and reassemble the gun. Does anyone know a site where i can find online manuals?
The second thing is that sometime around summer i want to get a new barrel. There were a few barrels on ebay for $20 dollars. And it's a brand name that im not familiar with. But it said it could fit every marker including mine. I thought of buying it since it was cheap. The brand is Tiller, and if you want you can check ebay.ca and go to barrels.
Other then that can somebody suggest some other upgrades for my gun? I can afford stuff for $50 and lower. Nothing higher plz. Thank you if your going to help me!
And for the goggles/helmet. Im thinking of buying one from Walmart or Canadian Tire. Im really poor right now and can't afford a good one. Im thinking of playing paintball once a week. So really do you still think i should get a good one?

Get the goggles before the barrel. $50 will get you some nice ones (VForce Armor or Vantage, JT Proflex or Flex 7, don't recall the exact prices).
When you do get a barrel, look at J&J Ceramics or CP 1-pieces for some very good yet affordable ones.
As for the manual, you should be able to find one here: http://www.buypmi.com/downloads.html .

Stay away from the cheapie Walmart masks! I tried to save a little money and bought those and it was the biggest mistake I have ever made. Uncomfortable, poor vision, fogs very quickly and hard to clean. On the advice of a fellow paintballer I bought a Proto Switch EL (average local store price of $38.00) and have been very happy with them. No fogging problems, excellent field of view, fairly comfortable and cleans easily with water. Sometimes you really do get what you pay for.

Only thing is, you mentioned Canadian Tire, so I'm assuming you're in Canada...So do you have $50 CAD or $50 US? If it's in CAD, you're not going to find much for $50...so save up ;).
A good barrel though, would be a Lapco Bigshot.

www.paintball-review.com has downloadable manuals there for a lot of guns
yea definitely get a mask first. you could still play woth your stock barrel no one is stopping you so its not like you cant play...you cant play without a mask...
also get a good one bcz they are more comfy and beter quality and offer a bit more protection or safety and will last you a long time if you keep good care of em ( clean it all dow after a day of paintball and not just the visor)

thanks for the help. Anyway, i have another question about the velocity. I played around with it, and now the balls curve. Do you think i should just play around with it until it shoots straight. Or is it like that? I have a 9 inch barrel (i kno it sucks, im getting a new one soon).

Fields have velocities from around 280-300 fps, make sure its in between there and it should be fine. Also your barrel is most likely the problem with the accuracy, make sure the paintballs are the right size for the barrel also.

I meant like how can i rearrange my velocity without buying a chrono. Im very low on money. There are no numbers on the velocity valve. The only thing i can do is add a allen key into it.

No no, you measure the FPS with a chronograph, they have them on paintball fields. You can buy one, but then they're like hundreds of dollars.
But i guess if ur cheap for now, i guess you could keep lowering it till shoots straight, but it could be the paint or barrel.
If you are gonna play just woodsball, get the gun chrono'd before you play, its just safer.

A hand-held chrono is $70 US, if you are playing outlaw ball with a bunch of guys and none of you has one you should suggest that everyone chip in to purchase one. All you need is 10 people and you should have it about covered for a fairly low price per person.
Playing sans chrono is a fairly serious safety issue.
hey uve got an R6 udont need any upgrades for it
that would just be a waist of money
save ur money and buy a better gun like an SRT or GTI
if u want a good barrel for an R6 get nothing over a 14 inch

Also, It does'nt take much for them to crack.
