are bushmasters more accurate then autocockers? are they quieter, and do they break down often?

Thanks

Depends in all areas. Same barrel and same reg and same paint = same accuracy. Quieter in my experience. Very reliable guns, 99 percent of break downs are users fault. Good luck,

all true ^^ hehe . . .

if you take care of your marker, match paint well and a nice ported barrel it will be more accurate, reliable and quiter than a cocker that is not cared for with bad paint matches and a loud barrel, and vice versa. it all depends . . . but it is possible, yes.

I don't think that a bushy, unless highly modified, can be more accurate than a cocker. I not some cocker fanatic trying to bash bushys, matter of fact I prefer the bushy over the cocker. It seems more today the "best guns" are the ones that can lay the most amount of paint on a relative area in the shortest amount of time. Cockers and Excaliburs, and most pumps will be more accurate than other guns becuase they are closed bolt. My ythought on the cocker/bushy accuracy case is this: the cocker may have to fire fewer shots to hit its target, but by trhe time it has, I have already done so because I can shoot that much faster.

Physics aside, the only thing i think that could even make people think they have more range is because you do have more time while pulling the trigger to shoot. I dunno, i'll tell you when i buy a cocker. I was pegging people across field yesterday,i honestly think with the same regs and barrels, and close enough OPs that they are identical.

Thanks
well after paint-barrel. accuracy in a real life situation really depends on 3 things
1. kick back-if you put your gun on full auto and it has enormous amounts of kickback, you will shoot 5 balls in 5 different places. if it's perfectly tuned and it has very little kick, the balls will go as close together as possible depending on how still you hold your marker.
2. consitency. people ussually think of accuracy left to right, which most markers will shoot the same. the real variance comes in distance. the tighter your string on the chrono, the better accuracy distance wise. I shoot 256 256 256 w/ my bushy, there's not much chance of getting more accurate than that.
3. you- that's right, you. pump guns aren't more accurate, neither are autocockers. they just shoot slower than most guns (unless modified). when playing with a bushy and you see somebodies foot sticking out, you cover a circle w/ a 2 foot radius w/ paint to make sure you get it. w/ a pump you are forced to aim and get off maybe 1 or 2 shots so you make them count.
if anybody disagrees, please explain how one marker could shoot farther or more accurately besides the use of back spin. I would be glad to see you point of view and discuss it.

sure cockers are nice guns, but having more distance and accuracy is a load of bull plop. and the whole open bolt vs. closed is bullplop too, warpig did a test on a gun that could be used as open and closed, closed was no more accurate than open

...god i want a bushy

With my experience shotting boomys and Maxim on both guns, my bonebreak STO is able to shoot farther and more accurately then my 7th gen bushy. The STO runs at a lower pressure (by over 60 PSI! 48 for the STO and 116 for the Bushy) and is shooting the same velocity. The Cocker is much quieter and has no blowback compared to the Bushy, plus it sounds alot cooler. In my opinion Cockers are easily as good but probably better than Bushys, and Angels for that matter, It may not shoot as fast but I can outshoot a 12V x board revy and thats fast enough for me.

Good for you.. But your cocker doesn't shoot any more accurate or farther than my bushy.

Don't believe me? Prove me wrong.

i noticed that my shots tended to stay in a line better with my cocker so it was easier to long ball . . . not really more range, its just cause i can long ball (tilt gun up) way better with my cocker than i could with my bushy . . .

cockers dont shoot further than any other gun, accuary = consisatncy

and my cocker has better consistency than my bushy did, and it kicks less so its more stable when shooting long strings. my bushy would jump off target when shooting alot. . .

I'm sure you shoot slower w/ your cocker also, so that could also be a reason for "better accuracy" ;)

agreed, but i also feel that anything over 9 bps is not necessary and just a waste of paint . . . but thats me, some people feel the need to shoot 13+ bps . . . .

GAHHH!! SPEED!!
Sorry, but more speed = better snap shooting. That isn't to say i don't mind an Autococker with an Eclipse trigger, slower, but somehow, steadier.

ya thats true, but i can still get off 3 good shots pretty quickly with my setup now . . . although before i was able to get more like 5-6 in the same amount of time. ah well, i like having paint left over when i am done for the day, rather than running out in the middle of the day ;)

lol ya its nice to have left over paint for another days use, i remember i had a cocker, only used a half case a day, now with my bushy its like 1 and a half cases of paint a day, iv spent more money on paint then on my gun
