Trust me. It will be worth the extra cash. If not an Ion than a BKO.

But if you must pick out of those I guess the evo would satisfy.

Ion is a fully electropnematic gun with breakbeam eyes. It has a pretty decent reg too. 17bps is pretty fast stock. Most likely faster that this guy can shoot. The ion is very small and light. I also think that its a good thing that it doesnt come stock with a drop. A duckbill won't run you very much money anyway.

But I really dont know what the blind rage is. My guess is a blowback with eyes, just like a TES.

It is a stacked blowback but its better, much better. and who cares of the ION is EP, it doesnt change the performance much other than giving it a lil better air efficiency.

Ion = probably more air efficient, better consistancy, more room for upgrade, (as every company on the planet is scrambling to come out with parts for it), less kick.

Also, drop forwards are not considered a good thing for a gun to come with stock. I won't get into drop vs. no drop, but everyone's preferences are different, as are the tanks they use. So everyone will need a different setup, whether it's standard ASA like me, or flipping huge drops like some people choose.

Personally I'd recommend the Ion over those. The Ion probably has more of a future than the Blind Rage.

Drops suck harder than a vacuum and the stock barrel is just fine. It's no CP, but it's not bad.

Electro > Blowback, always.

Its a spool-valve design which means it would have much less kick than a blowback.

Going to a higher end marker, such as one that is electro-pneumatic, isn't just for getting 20 more shots out of your tank. I doubt you have even shot a high end marker, much less that blind rage. You probably just saw it one day and was all like "AHH I HAVE MY ION FIGHTER NOW!!1 NO ONE CAN STOP MEE!!!12#@!42"

And cool, I don't think the thread starter has posted, except when he said the ion was too expensive. ;)

How is it overpriced? For what you are getting, it is UNDERpriced.

It is annoying, because these things live up to their hype. I doubt you will find a marker that performs like an ION in the 300 and less range.

Everyone has them because they are the real deal. Everyone on my team, except for like two, has timmies, so does that stop me from buying one? Don't think so.

I am telling you, go shoot a high end marker before you make up your mind, they feel soo much better than a blowback, they can't even be compared.

I think they have spyder barrel threads.

The price difference isn't much. The Blind Rage is 260 on xpaintball.com, and the Ion is probably around 285, cuz that's what everyone is selling it for. With that kind of a price difference, I'd go with the Ion.

notice how i never said once that i hated or disliked the ION i just think its overpriced, if you're goin to make the body plastic(not cheap plastic, but its still plastic) and save some $ you might as well used use that saved $ to put on a drop or a clamping feedneck or an LCD. Tordx doesn't even have the $ for it anyway and if he did i'd reccommend the ION BUT HE DOESNT so why are we even arguing about it!?

and FYI for clown my frontman has an ION and ive used his gun at least 5 times, i HAVE used a blind rage and am happy to say it kiks for the price! my banana thrusts agrily at you. :banana:

actually he cant save 45, in fact hes on my lax team and lives 5 minutes from me. and the fact that aluminum bodies are available doesnt mean they come that way out of the box, if he had the cash i'd probably recommend it, but he doesn't.

Who said anything about aluminum bodies coming stock out of the box. You can get an Ion, throw 300 bucks worth of upgrades into it, and have something comparable to a shocker, freestyle, timmy, or other high ends. And you only payed 600 bucks for it. What's to complain about?

On what the Ion? If you're talking about the Ion you really won't need to get to the bolt unless you are just cleaning it or greasing it. You have to take the entire gun apart to get to it though. It has eyes though so you wouldn't have a jammed bolt.

If you are dropping >200 for a marker, you will have an extra 50.

And the ION bolt won't jam as much, because it will pinch a ball before it will chop it, and because it has eyes.
