I need a picture of what a Tippmann looks like on the inside ... I had mine for like two years and never cleaned it.

Anyways, I'm bored and want to clean it - but I need a picture of how everything is put together on the inside.

I tried the "Ultimate Sticky" but there wasn't a picture in it.

I even searched for "Tippmann Manual Picture" and found nothing ... :(

The one at Tippmann.com is a little hard to read ... I just need to know where the basic parts go, I don't care about the screws and o-rings.

Anyone have a real simple picture of the Tippmann 98 Custom lay-out?

I figured it out ... wasn't that hard at all.

But it did have black "guu" on the sides - old paint by the front bolt. Some brown "juices" inside the back bolt.

Took me about an hour to clean everything ... and 30 minutes to put it back to together. First time I put it back together I forgot to put the sear inside. Took me around 5 times of screwing and un-screwing to get everything perfect.

Oild everything quite a lot ... marker sounds MUCH nicer now.

 glad you had fun :D

watch out for over oiling the front bolt as the oil may get into the barrel and kill your accuracy.

I took mine apart the day I got it too. The only thing that gave me trouble was that stupid front sight spring. It took me a long, long time to get it set right and then it went flying across the room. :pissed:

... funny thing though, nothing came flying when I opened it.

I guess ALL the old grease and paint had everything secured. :D

I opened mine up the day I got it as well...right after I read the manual.

I still have been known to close it up and leave parts out though. Usually the sear, ball detent and that front site are the most troublesome.

ya, when i opened mine, the little bars that hold the trigger springs would come out as i was screwing it back together, and i lost the ball detent and had to buy a new one. i have had it bout 4 months now and have yet to find that original detent

Yeah, thats a good way to messup a detent. I have no idea why, but it looks right when your putting it in, and then the bolt pinches it down and its all bent up and stuff.

Ah-hahaha. You read the manual! Wussie.

The "manual" (as they call it) is nothing but the manufacturer's opinion of the product. Just gotta wing it, be a man's man. More power "*pig grunt* ooh oh oh"

When I ripped open my freind's M98, everything flew out, but we found an online manual. We still lost the screw to the foregrip though... Let's see if I can post a pic.
