Do you think the extreme popularity of the Impulse is a good thing or a bad thing?
I, personally, like to have unique gear and get asked alot of questions by other players.
If you think the popularity of the Impulse is good...tell me why(ie. more tech help, online community etc.)

definitely the tech help and the community is a plus!
also it tells you something when a marker is popular, it tells you that people must like the impulse for something and it must be good cuz otherwise it wouldnt make sense.
if you are into the unique thing then you can buy little cosmetic parts for an impulse. i dont know about getting people to talk to you about stuff. but the popularity could be a anti-unique thing but sacrifices must be made.

I like to be unique, but if no one at your field can fix an Impy, but everyone can fix an Angel, wouldnt it be better to have a popular gun people knew how to fix??

At one of the fields I play at I'm the only one with an impulse and there are no shops around that can do repairs. This where I had to do some homework and learn everything there is to known about the impulse. So now if something goes wrong I troubleshoot it.
The impulse is definitely gaining popularity. My cousin, after shooting my impulse, went out and bought one. Now all of his friends want one. It really is a great gun at an awsome price.

There is nothing that can go wrong with an Impy that you cannot fix if you have a parts kit and shocker grease.

I think its a good thing that its getting more popular. This means that there will be lots more parts available to upgade impulses. And now it will be lots easiers to get barrels. Plus, the popularity proves that the impulse is a really good gun. As far as originality goes...if you wanna be original, buy a custom impulse, anodize it, make it faded, get it milled, upgrade it, put personal touches on it. And if its more popular, more shops will be able to fix them. But thats not a problem because there a simple electro and i havent had my break down ever in the year ive had mine.

I like to tinker so I don't think I would have too much trouble learning how to repair an Impulse. I can see what you guys are saying...I forgot all about the customization though.

Here is the simple facts,
An Impulse is a near perfect design, when a company delivers this, people will notice them.
When people notice them, customizing and design Companies(Werm, Demonic) will notice the people and see a lucrative market, so they try to improve any flaws in performance or looks. When this happens the origin manufacturing company (Smart Parts) will see ALOT of lost revenue, so they in turn begin upgrading they're own marker (VooDoo) with high performance parts and customizing. What does this mean to us, the consumer? Lower prices, A more diverse selection of equipment that has been thoroughly tested, because if you produce junk, word will spread very quickly and you go outta business, so popularity is a good thing for us, and the companies that want our money.

personally, i like that the impulse is becoming more and more popular. While it is nice to have a pretty rare gun, that usually means that there arn't many aftermarket parts available for it or no-one will be able to fix it if it breaks. Now that imps are becoming more and more popular each day, more people can help you with them, and there are more parts available and more stores that sell them. And hey-there's a reason imps are so popular-because they're great guns!
Sorta a slightly differnt view- but same result. The fact that the Impulse is becoming more popular, makes it a market for after market makers to develope for.
Not that long ago, I couldn't get ANYONE (of the big aftermarket guys) to devlope goodies for the Impulse. Now a lot of people are. We all benfit from this. It also means a longer life for the marker-- rember we have seen a lot of markers come and go-- we are assured taht the Impulse disapper as some others have.
