I have a 16 oz Pure Energy CO2 canister attached to my gun... a few newbie questions...

1. If I unscrew the canister, does the CO2 all leak out? The canister does not appear to have an on/off switch... it does have a brass screw of some sort at the top of the canister.

2. Assuming I can unscrew the canister without the CO2 leaking out, is this a good idea? I'm wondering if it is bad to store the gun "under pressure" when I'm not going to be using it for a week or two.

Thanks

Since you don't have an on/off toggle on your tank, (that nut is part of the burst disk) all you have to do is unscrew the tank until you hear a hiss of air. It should take 1/2 to 3/4 turn. Then aim you marker in the air and pull the quickly until you hear a BBRAAAPPP noise. Wait for it to stop and finish unscrewing the tank. This all done without any paintballs in the gun. A tiny bit of co2 will leak out, but at most it equals a shot or two.

I wouldn't store the marker under pressure. It may lead to excess wear on the internals and at very least the springs.

as far as storing the tank with some co2 in it, as long as its not in some extremly hot place like a furnace room, it'll b OK, i advise under a bed or in a garage, some place room temp.

just un-screw the tank...it will be hard to turn due to 800+ psi pushing on it..it will woosh then take it off
