Smart Parts Ion or B2k w/ PDS??

I'm looking to buy a new marker, either the ion or the b2k w/ pds. but i'm a little undecided, my paintball buddies, half say get the ion, the others say the b2k. i've researched both on the internet, read reviews of both in numerous magazines, and still undecided. i wonder what you guys think ion or the b2k?

I prefer the B2k, much more comfortable, metal frame, better stock barrel and trigger.
And for u flamers, yes i have shot both.

meh, i like teh ion

i've shot both, the ions samller and lighter, and just feels better.

its pretty much preference, some will say ion, others will say b2k.

shoot both and decide for yourself, dont just get something because its "e-cool" or someone else likes it

The ion has a metal frame.

Neither barrel is very good.

ya neither is great but at least B2k i beleive has some porting, Ion barrel makes it so loud.
Shocker felt lot better to me when shooting it, might be nearly the same but ion wasnt as comfortable to me

The stock barrel on the Ion most definately has porting. And the Ion isn't that loud, at least not significantly more than other guns I've shot.

From my experience with both, the Ion is a better marker. I've had several BM2K returned - mostly due to the inline reg needing to be rebuilt (replaced is better). However, of all the Ions I've sold, no complaints.

Another thing that might make your decision easier is that the 2004 BM2K seems to be out of production. I assume to make room for a 2005 model but I don't have any info on that yet. All I know is we can't get the 2004 BM2K anymore but Ions are plentiful.

I have a couple friends using the Ion and they love it. Also, you don't have to buy a bottomline. The Ion comes with it. Most people I know who have a Bushmaster have replaced the regs to get it shooting properly.
