It "looks" for a paintball in the breech. It wont let the gun chop a paintball.
Do you really need that thing??

a very good question.... any responses? personally, i haven't had a single break in the 5 games i've played with my impy (stats in info) and it doesn't have the vision, but that's only 5 games, so we'll see

I would not buy a vision eye. There are better upgrades for the money: vff, blade trigger, delrin bolt, drop-forward, barrel. Even, if I could, I probably still wouldn't get one. When I had my Impulse, I almost never chopped.

The low pressure operation on an Impulse makes it hard to chop a ball. But I have one anyways. I think its worth having.

heck, if I could afford it, I would have a Vision Ratpulse, with all the upgrades p\ossible. But, im just barely affording 350 for a used Impy

To the crawl in the dirt, hide in the snake, peak thru the crack streched out on your side- front player- where you can't carefully keep your hopper above your chamber- YES! Vision is good-- It can make the difference between winning and loosing a game!
For the rec player, or even the back player, there might be better places to spend the $$
