Some newbie questions...
- Does a regulator have any effect on CO2? Like what?
-How exactly does a quick-disconnect (for CO2) work and is it worth it.

regs do work on co2 i have a wgp ergo reg and its great!
the remote system is for if you're too lazy to hold your gun with a tank on it. it eleminates weight and allows you to have a tstock which is worthless so just stay with the asa. get a drop though so you can be more compact

the regulator regulates. dont know much more how to explain it. Or did you mean something else?
quick disconect - I think (if I remember correctly) one little thing fits into another slightly bigger thing and you can pull the smaller one out of the bigger one to disconect quickly.
I may be wrong though.

Would a good reg be just as good for CO2 as a good x-chamber?

A good reg for CO2 will be much better than an ex-chamber. Also, if you ever go to nitro, you already have the reg. I highly recommend the Palmer's Stabilizer. Simply the best reg on the market for CO2, and still works terrific for nitro. Can't go wrong with it.

Where would be a good place to purchase a palmer stabilizer? In Canada if possible.

wow wow wow .....
what marker do you have?
you have a $90 compact I wouldn't recomend a $90 (or around I forget exact price) reg. that costs the same as your gun.
and make sure you really want to do this :)

I am attempting to build up a piranha with the best possible parts, $90 American isn't too steep for a reg. I play rec-ball so I don't need an autococker or anything like that. I chose a fishy over a tippy and whatnot and am STICKING WITH IT. I intend to invest in something I will never need to upgrade again, therefore......... any good places to get a palmer stabilizer in Canada preferably?

Again, if you upgrade markers later, you can still use the stab, and it will still be top of the line. If you upgrade to nitro later, you can still use the stab, and it will still be one of the best. If you have the extra money to spend on it, it really is a best buy despite the price tag.
