after a tournament, I was cleaning my Impulse. After I pulled out the ram assembly, I found the hammer was covered with paint, not only that, but there was a paintball shell on the back side of the hammer. The lower tube looked like it had plenty of paint and condensation accumulated in there, and on the back of the RIP valve. The area beind the front cap and the front face of the valve was completely clean. How did the lower chamber get so dirty?

you chopped a ball and tilted your gun backward letting paint under the bolt and into the hammer assembly. just clean it out and relube and everything should be fine

yeah, possibly you chopped, and paint got all in your bolt, maybe in the hole where the air comes through your bolt. as you were fireing it worked its way down there.

yup you probab;y just chopped. happened to me before. now i don't chop, but i get paint in therew because of my fancypants milling. :|

now what's really a mystery, is how my friend got orange paint in his belly button, when he didn't have any hits near his chest or abdomen, and was wearing 2 shirts with no paint there. that's a noggin scratcher, right there

yeah it is. i love it, but i swear it's a paintball magnet. first time out after getting it milled, first game, hit right to the slotted section. goo all up in my ram chamber. i mean it is easy to clean most of it out, but it's one of those "go figure" things, ya know.

yep, just like THE ONE TIME your barrel condom falls off on accident, your gun will fire accidentally. not that that ever happened to me..... :dodgy:

thats nothing, unscrew it squeege put it back in, maybe do all the good cleaning at home but you can play with a simple quick clean. this weekend i took 2 shots while i was running all in the gun, 1 on the trigger frame, and 1 directly in the trigger . i had to clean it out, my grip was slipery the rest of the day (my god damn impulse jewels fell off the grips cause they lost their stick because of the paint), and when i got home i had to take off the grip frame, tray, and verticale asa (paint got up under there too). that was a mother.

ohh quit whining, impulses are easy to dissasemble and clean :P

seriously though, after every weekend i play, i strip my gun down to the body, clean and relube, and assemble in 20 minutes, 30 if i do the regs too. that's one of the great things about impulses
