No, it doesn't mean they're cheap, but they are. I Got a Tru-Flight 14" a few months ago and I didn't notice any increase in accuracy from my Spyder 8" stock barrel. Yeah, it probably would've been better if I polished it, but if you go to www.paintballwatch.com and look under barrels/kingman international/J&J ceramic you can get a J&J 14" for not much more than a Truflight.
I just picked a 16'' up for $22. I haven't tried it yet. I'm hoping to test it out tomorrow.

14" Tru-Flight Rifled Barrel
Brought my accuracy level up from a stock barrel. The reason I bought this barrel is because it's rifled and it's really afforadable. On the field, 75+ feet no problemm. You can shoot farther, 100 feet+ accurately if you got good paintballs + aim.
Well, as for reading the reveiws, I've came across a couple bad points people have made. I didn't encounter any. I didn't do anything like take a brillo pad and scrap the crap out of it, because that would destroy the rifling. I didn't do anything to the barrel, used it the way the factory made it. I used PMI Big Ball Paintballs and they shoot great out of it.
Some people said that the tip will make paintballs explode, well I had that happen one time because it was a really foggy day and it was sprinkling so it was pretty cold. However..at the same time, I kinda messed up my paintballs by jamming too many into the pod that I carry with me so I made them odd shapped. Other than that ONE pop out of 600+ paintballs, it's all good. And I think that one pop was because of me.
The barrel is loose until you screw it in 3/4 of the way but it's solid all around. Supposedly it's made from aircraft material and there's no steel in it. It's some type of metal or something.
It's very durable. I play woodsball and I guess I hit a couple rocks or something (i'm always creeping or pushing my barrel through obstacles when I can or have to) and it's all good.
I was worried about the rifling when I read a review that the barrel sucks after a couple hundred or a thousand or so paintballs go through it, still waiting to see if that's true. Maybe it is, but dang those paintballs gotta be crazy to actually strip away metal.
It's pretty easy to clean. I was looking at other barrels, heard teardrops were nice, silent and accurate, and wanted to get one but it looks like it's very hard to clean if a paintball blows up in the barrel.
People say it's hard to clean this barrel, but for me it's a snap because I have one of those I guess battle swabs? where it's carpeting and not a pull through squeegee. This way you can get into the grooves so easily. Don't miss a thing. Plus it's soft so it won't drag a piece of sand against your barrel, atleast that's what I think it would do.
All in all, this is a great barrel. Personally, I'm getting ANOTHER ONE, but it's the new version. 14" Tru-Flight QUIET Rifled Barrel. same thing but it's quieter!!! Ownage!!! So affordable I'm getting that quieter one!!!

I also just ordered a tru-flight 16" rifled barrel for my spider. Got it off ebay for $25. (eBay is the cheapest place for barrels) I'll get back to you on how good it is when it gets here.
Timberwolf, let me know if your tru-flight ever screws up.

There are MUCH better barrels for the price than the Tru-Flight. I had one a million years ago on my spyder, and while it was better than the spyder stock, it broke a lot of balls and wasn't very good at shooting through the breaks. I'd highly recommend ditching the idea of a Truflight and getting a CP, J&J or Lapco Barrel

its better then stock. My brother ad prolly 3 friends go them because they were cheap barrels, and longer. They do ok, but there are much better on the market. You should save up and try to get something alittle better, for not to much more.
