I'm having crazy urges to get back into hardcore camo'ed up woodsball. There just used to be a lot more to the game when it wasn't obvious where you, your teammates, and your opponents were. Anybody else having bouts of this desire?
Please, spare me the "OMGGGGG WOODS IS TEH SUX!!2RRr!" posts, you flaming idiots.

You're not alone, I would like to just go and have a day playing in the woods with my friends again. It was always fun when they were "snipers." :D

Good to hear. I still have a crappy ghillie suit in my basement, which I intend to use at some point, even if I'm wearing some C4 pants at the same time ;).

The beauty of woodsball is that you don't even need a field, per se, if you catch my drift.

It was fun when I first started, although I never really played in the woods, I just played Rec. I always wanted something more, though, and that was Speedball.

Try going to a scenario sometime. Some people just get burned out on tourney ball and need to recap on what paintball really is.
To answer your question, I don't mind playing a woods game every now and then. The problem is most woods field aren't cleared out and aren't good fields to play on.

We've got no actual (good) fields nearby, which is a huge drawback. I'm just finding it's a pain in the *** to have to set up our mini speedball course at our cabin every time we feel like balling.

I don't care if it's woodsball or speedball, paintball is damned fun. I don't mind playing woodsball, but then again I never played any hardcore woodsball games across huge treks of land, I've played on smaller feilds.
Paintball is fun anywhere imo, I just like speedball more.

Dont worry, I feel like getting a pump with those 10 round tubes for some reason. Or some sort of mil-sim marker.....

qft. I love speedball, and I could never play woodsball for very long without longing for a aup air feild. But every once in a while I love playing in a big scenario game, or a game of outlaw woodsball.

I don't mind a game of woodsball every now and then, but I just prefer to play speedball.

I have played speedball for probably the past 6 months without any just rec games with the locals, and I have too been having withdrawals.
Hmm, maybe do that tommorow.

Eh, once in a while, woods is a good for a change. Never hurts to take it slow and let games go on for a while.

I started out in the woods and wandered aimlessly into the world of speedball. Recently I went to a field that had both and went into the woods and got slaughtered all day, until the last game I played where I got about half the other team out.
