Online petitions don't do anything...
And just wait, Paintball will be in the Olympics soon.

Does the X-games even have points based games? I believe they're all scored by judges on performance. And X-games are pretty much based on individuals, not team sports (tandem vert-skating is NOT a team sport...).
It'd still be nice to see something like that happen, but I doubt it's in the cards.

they would hold tourements for paintball just like ones u would atend u cant judge a team of skaters very well but if u hav a 5 on 5 tourney they can find a winner easily and i dont think it will b an olympic sport anytime soon just because people will protest that they use guns .... my german teacher sas paintballis bad because its leveling a gun at other human being and im sure there are oeple frum many other countrys as well as our that would not lik it very much
not even football isan olympic sport and football is much more popular

Fencing simulates stabbing people, yet it is an Olympic sport, I don't see how shooting people should be much different.

Football is popular in USA, not very much so in the rest of the world. Plus who could compete with us? Nobody. That is why I think football isn't in the Olympics anyways.
On a side note, I heard that there will be exhibition games in the next Olympics for paintball. No medals will be awarded, it's just to kind of see how it works out. Maybe I heard wrong, we'll just have to wait and see.

You'd be surprised. There's someone from a South Korean team that posts in the International forum sometimes, although not very often, people from around the world post there.

i use to talk to ami who is the assistant european editor for PB2X, she told me that it will be in the next olympics or the following as an exhibition sport. For a event to be fully in the olympics a certain # of countries must agree on it and have teams to playin it. All i can say is if it is finalized and becomes one of the main sport events. I guarantee RL will be in it. They already have a olympic training facility where they practice all day every day.

I understand how it would be judged, I'm just saying it's not likely to be added to the X-games simply because it's not the same style of competition that the X-games are composed of.

Isn't shooting one of the segments of the Triathalon? I'm pretty sure they still use guns for that...

Football is an American sport.

the whole leaveling a gun at another human being is the part taht would piss people off. shooting at little cay things isnt that bad compared to a game based on shooting every1 else and getting a flag and the xgames has moto races so that isnt a judged sport either even thou they du hav freestyle

Xgames may have racing sports, but it's still individual. Paintball isn't an individual sport.

Well, havn't you heard? Any sport can be played in the Olympics if a certain amount of countries have teams to compete(Male), and same for female. It's just a matter of time until we will have enough teams from around the world...

as i stated above :D
i do believe, england, france,US,russia, australia, and brazil were few of the countries who actually agreed with its testing of becoming a exhibition and seeing where it goes from there.
