I have a bko with a bob long torp reg and antisiphoned co2. I want to run it off that tank to try and save some money. I know that run dual regs is the best bet but i've heard that you can buy filters that install in your co2 tank or above your reg or something that further filters out the debri of co2. These filters are like the screens inside most good co2 regs. Anyone used and know where to get one of these. also how well do they work?

THANKS!

Actually, its a screen that fits inside of your ASA, I have no idea where you would find one.

AKA use to make a filter for CO2 and N2 systems. I am not sure if they still make them or not. I believe it was called Guardian.

I have sold some of the N2 versions but never sold any of the CO2 versions.

Another place you might checkis Palmer Pursuit. They love to use CO2 on about any kind of marker and I am sure they would have a filter or be able to point you in the proper direction to get a filter for your CO2 tank.

i called AKA about the guardian. They told me that it was only to filter out air as it was put into your tank from the bulk tank. I havent got ahold of palmer's yet.

In my old pirhana there was a gold ring with mesh wire. It went at the top of the expansion chamber. Is that what your looking for? It was pretty small though.| | About that big around.

Something else that may work is a inline muffler. These are used on CO2 fill stations to quiet the station down when filling tanks. They dont allow to much to pass through them, as far as debrit goes. I am not sure if there is such a thing or not but I vaguely remember using them on some pneumatic ram assemblies at work a year or two back.

yea i really cant see the pic but i know some ppl with out spyders i might be able to get one off of. Do you know is it like mesh like is actually like a screen filter. and also does it look like it could be pretty universal?

go up to the top and hit zoom. then keep clicking on the screen with ur mouse until its zoomed in enough. and it might be universal. its kind of like a stone type thing. i cant think of wut i've seen one on but i no i have. maybe on a torch or something but its like a porous rock/metal thing. i'll try to get my pic up tomorrow.

This is the same thing the exhaust mufflers are made of.

Again I am not sure where we got them but I remember using some of them at work on some ram assemblies to keep rust out of them.

I would recommend a google search for micro gas line or micro gas fittings, something along those lines.

One place I can think of off the top of my head is Clippard.com

i found those mufflers on clippard for like 2$ but the problem is that they are only threaded on one side so im not real sure where along the airflow that i could install one.

i called kingman today. Those little filters are like 4 bucks. i talked to a tech who said they would be pretty universal but he thinks it would restrict air flow too much. do you think that it would create too much of an efficiency problem or just be too low in general to run off of because this guy defenitely wasnt too sure.

well i dont really no. it obviously doesnt restrict it the spyders because they use them in all of their guns. if ur good with regs and feel comfortable with it try to take it apart, there might already be one in there. but for only $4 just try it and if it doesnt work o well. just take it out. but hey, for 4 bucks u cant go wrong. heres the pic of mine. (finally)
Its the orange thing
