I don't think the Matrix should be thought of so highly with so many features...why?...you have to pay extra for those features.
I mean...you can't say they don't chop...without the Trinity. They are horribly innefficiant...but by spending even more you can give them decent efficency. They look ugly...but you could always pay for milling and anno. They are unreliable(they sure seem to be) but all you need to do is buy a new chip, bolt, etc
Is it fair to assume all Matrix's have these features yet still say they cost about the same as an Intimidator(which, imo, is a much better gun FOR THE PRICE)? I don't think so.

exactly, why dont the add all the upgrades like the trinity, chip, and bolt and sill it for like 900, more practical.

well well well....
another person voices his opinion as if he were god.
I played with my matrix stock for about 6 months, before I got a shocktech front reg (similar to trinity) and before I got a new barrel (freak)... and I have had absolutley zero problems with it.
I do not mind the looks of the matrix, I actually think they look way better than the timmy or the shocker... but that is only MY opinion. I am sure there are plenty of owners who feel the same way.
gas efficiency? how is it horrible? sure, it isnt the best, but compared to what: how is it horrible? shockers? shocekrs are worse! impulses? I get as many shots off of my 68/45k with my matrix, than my dad does with the same tank on his impy. sure an intimidator's efficiency may be a little better... when it is working. (you would probably say the same thing about the matrix... or the shocker...) but honestly, how many matrices do you personally know that had to get sent back for extensive repairs? I ahve seen 0 matrices (out of like 8 that my friends and acquaintences have) (whilst I have seen all 3 timmys that I know have massive reg problems). (on the avarage, I can get 900 shots from a full 68/45k fill... which lasts me at least one game... I am not too damn lazy to go fill up my air before the next game... afterall... at a tournament... how many players do you know that wont fill up their tank after every game or, visa versa, will go play a game with a tank half full? none... exactly... so that is one argument you already lost)
sure, sure... you dont have to upgrade the timmy.... or do you? just remind me again... what inline regulator does it come with stock? I dont really reacall.... ohh wait... it doesnt.
the matrix is by far one of the easiest markers to operate and maintain... the only major problems come from the selenoid (as they do with all electronic markers) and o-rings... and possible the earlier beehive regs (I have one... have had zero problems)
So please.... next time you want to come to the matrix' home, and start badmouthing them... please... do some research; as I, along with other matrix owners, see no viability or validity in your argument... you sound like a 3 year old: "my marker is better than yours because yours sucks and you have to put upgrades on it to make it work."
(ohh... actually go play with a matrix... you will love it.)

hmmmmmmmm..............hmmmmmmm..............would n't you have to do most of that stuff with an angel? like the low pressure, and even then it can still chop, very odd. well the problem with it being as gas hog is double regulation, aardvark is currently trying to make a new matrix that isn't double regged. also the 02 model will have a trin and bolt kit stock-thus no need for those now. then again I hope they still make leds (doubtfuly but you never know) with all that stuff on there, cuz really I don't want tetris (lcd screen) on my gun unless I have to. but there's one thing stock that you can not complain about. rate of fire, man you can wail on that trigger, just puts an angel to shame to me.

Anchor, I wasn't trying to be an ***. Sorry. I didn't mean to put down your marker but I was stating my opinion on some things...I did a bad job of explaining what I meant earlier so I'll be a bit more specific.
The Matrix is a really cool gun(I've seen them, never shot them). On almost every Matrix forum there seem to be huge problems like constant chopping and bolt stick...again...I haven't seen this personally.
My problem is that people rave about their Matrices(as well they should) but they are usually talking about a totally different gun. When people ask does a Bushmaster chop...everyone says sometimes. There is an ACE available although it's pretty rare...still, stock, the gun can chop.
So can the Matrix. When people ask if a Matrix is efficient they get replies like "Yeah, with a bolt kit that costs $400(cdn)" Gas efficiency is fairly important to me as I have to drive an hour for a good HPA fill.
Although it seems to be a great gun, I think that to have many of the features of other markers, they need too much money in upgrades.
Features stock(Compared to an Intimidator due to the amout of Timmy vs Matrix threads)
Intimidator
LCD
Modes
Nice milling and anno(imo)
2 regulators(alot of people use a gas thru with an adjustable tank)
Great customer service
Anti chop eye
Cocker threads
Built in drop
Stupid nickname :pissed:
Matrix
Regulator
Nicer barrel(not by a whole lot)
LED/LCD on some
Interchangeble breach
Easier stripping
Non-original name :pissed:
That being said, I would take an Intimidator over a Matrix stock but fully upgraded the Matrix. I don't have much experience with the Matrix but a bit.
Sorry if I offended you guys but that's my opinion and I wasn't trying to flame your gun.
Peace :P

they are different markers with different features.
both are decent... both have their flaws.
I would personally take the matrix any day.... but again thats me... why? I dont like the feel/look of the timmy, where as you do. (I think it looks like a bent you know what)00
)
ohh well...
no harm, no foul.
(both names do suck though...matrix is unoriginal, and people call your marker "timmy" because they cant spell intimidator.)
ohh well...
just play, dont flame other peoples markers, unless they are made by brass eagle. then it is fair game.

sin no hard feelings from here, you go any farther and I'd go wookie beserk style on you kay? :D
how is matrix unoriginal?!?
intimidator, how is that an original name?
I'm curious :eyes:
hey now the bolt kit doesn't cost $400, it's $210 straight from aardy and the boys or $280-300 at other places that sell em round here.
you don't need to use hpa with this gun, throw an anti-siphion tube in your 20 oz. co2 tank and you'll be laughin all the way to the bank.
personally after I get my bolt kit I'm going to get rid of my 24 oz. tank I'm usin (heavier then the gun itself  ) and going to get a stubby 16 oz. tank.

I don't own an Intimidator.
The Matrix movie. Dot Matrix printers. Matrix drink. Probably more.
The name Intimidator is awesome and fairly original but the nickname annoys the crap out of me.
I saw the kit somewhere for $400...that was the most expensive. Usually it's about $300 shipped but I was just trying to be difficult.
I agree that they are very diffrent paintguns and I neglected to think of some of the Matrix's less-impressive-on-paper features like trajectory, simplicity and quietness.
Thanks for setting me straight guys.

yes! quietness!
good! this is with no doubt, probably the most quiet marker on the planet... with the bolt kit, it is even more quiet.
my 10" freak makes it a little louder...only a little.... still quieter than any shocker.
and trajectory.... the marker has the feel of an angel (trigger style, about the same size) with the overall performance of a closed bolt marker (due to the fact that it fires in the closed bolt position maybe? of course)
simplicity is another feature. easy to clean, easy to maintian, easy to adjust pressure..... NO DWELL!!!!!!!!! (like timmy, impy, etc)
.......any of you seen them new angels? the IR3 or whatever they are called? with the NPPL tournament legal board, and the anit chop eye (ACE). thats right... it costs 1500, but has an ace.
damn they look nice. (ohh, and for those of you who say angels suck.... they definatley do not.)

yeah.. but the black is $1499... if you are alredy gonna spend 1100 on a stock one... why the hell not throw in the extra 4 bills and get yourself one fo these?
realitivley... 1499 isnt all that much... (this is coming from a college kid who bought his own matrix and bought his father an impulse.... so seriously.... 1500 isnt all that much)
buying paint for it is another thing...
Back to matrices... before people get pissed that this is the matrix forum...
matrices rock... thats final.
